Pay Range:

$38.20 - $57.30

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides a high level of technical expertise to support Enterprise Radiation Oncology EMR and integration clinical radiation modalities and Epic; includes build activity with Epic Beacon and Radiation Oncology EMR. Provides effective technical direction for assigned projects. Anticipates project roadblocks and effectively avoids them. Continuously monitors the quality of the technical environment and identifies potential problems and proactively resolves them to ensure patient safety.
  • Conducts Radiation Oncology EMR system configuration changes in accordance with regulatory and safety guidelines while ensuring patient treatment delivery is not impacted and record / verify safety checks remain intact. Manages client expectations, establishes positive working relationships, and provides excellent customer support for all post-implementation, system maintenance and support issues.
  • Achieves the highest level of analytical and/or product knowledge regarding Radiation Oncology software products, comprehensive clinics that offer Radiation and Chemotherapy treatments and integration of clinical radiation treatment delivery devices. Identifies and implements Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) project initiatives, focusing on regulatory and system integration / standardization and process engineering to support safe treatment delivery and clinical EMR and EHR systems.
  • Serves as advisor for setting process improvement site goals and measures while leading the development and execution of short and long-term road maps. Documents system standards and facilitates standardization across Enterprise Radiation Oncology departments. Coordinates the development and implementation of procedures and standards for Radiation Oncology EMR system use. Serves as a process improvement change agent for process adoption, coordination, and implementation activities for Enterprise Radiation Oncology departments.
  • Responsible for creating and delivering customized project plans, presentations and updates and ensuring timely and effective deployment of implementation plans and measurable returns. Utilizes data to drive performance and conducts metric based analysis to identify efficiency maximization strategies.
  • Manages and plans projects across Radiation Oncology Enterprise or within a team with general direction from manager. Responsible for the roll-out of training information related to new products and system upgrades.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Aria Administration Credential with demonstrated proficiency in Aria system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and support- obtained within 3 months.


Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field.


Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in IT supporting Radiation Oncology (Aria Electronic Medical Record or MosaiQ Electronic Medical Record) or Epic Beacon Radiation Oncology build / maintenance / support experience or equivalent clinical expertise.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Proficient in using Aria, MosaiQ and other applications, operating systems and databases to include the hardware, platform, connectivity, and interface design.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced clinical and technical environment with established time constraints and multi-tasking of deliverables and priorities.
  • Provides 24x7 On-Call support, includes weekends and holidays.
  • Organizational and analytical skills. Strong ability for technical problem solving, logical and organized thinking. Strong problem and issue resolution skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively handle customer contacts.
  • Ability to work closely with health care application users, vendors, and technical professionals.
  • Proficient in translating user requirements into system specifications. Understanding of change management practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical components and how they relate to applications.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit up to 80% of each workday.
  • Must be able to perform fine hand manipulation when using computer keyboard.
  • Must have ability to perform a considerable amount of work-related travel (approximately 40% of time) and therefore may be exposed to road and weather hazards.
  • Exposed to normal office environment.
  • Must operate all equipment necessary to perform the duties of the job.
