Whether remote or in-office, we support how you thrive best. We invest in your well-being, development, and ability to make an impact because when one Nerd levels up, we all do.

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as the primary finance partner for one or more growth verticals, providing strategic financial guidance that enables business leaders to make informed decisions. This role owns forecasting, financial modeling, performance reporting, and KPI analysis while translating complex financial data into actionable insights. By proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and operational improvements, this role helps drive sustainable growth and efficient resource allocation across the business.

You are a trusted finance partner who collaborates closely with cross-functional business leaders to influence strategic decision-making through financial analysis and insights. You operate independently, balancing analytical rigor with business acumen, and proactively identify opportunities to improve financial performance. You build strong partnerships across Finance and the business while driving accountability through data-driven recommendations.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analyses, executive summaries, and recommendations that clearly communicate key business drivers.

  • Monitor and analyze key business and financial performance indicators, proactively identifying emerging risks and opportunities before they materially impact results.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Operations, and other business teams to evaluate financial implications of strategic initiatives and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, resource allocation, and business performance through financial analysis and process improvements.

  • Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, enabling leaders to make informed strategic decisions.

  • Continuously improve forecasting methodologies, reporting processes, and analytical tools to increase efficiency and enhance decision support.

Your experience:

  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or other highly analytical finance roles.

  • Advanced financial modeling and forecasting experience with demonstrated ability to build scalable models for business planning and scenario analysis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable business insights.

  • Experience owning budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting processes.

  • Proven ability to influence business decisions through data-driven recommendations and strong cross-functional partnerships.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present financial insights to senior business stakeholders.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.

  • Experience working with financial reporting systems and business intelligence tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on broader business objectives.
