About the Role

Hello, Paraprofessionals! Ampersand Therapy is hiring full-time Paraprofessional for school district in the Winston, MO area. In this role, you'll provide individualized support to students with significant support needs, helping them build independence, participate in classroom activities, and achieve their educational goals.

This is a great opportunity for both experienced paraprofessionals and those looking to grow in special education while making a meaningful impact in students' lives alongside a supportive and collaborative school team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with significant support needs

  • Assist students with academic activities, communication, and daily living skills as needed

  • Implement behavior support plans and instructional strategies under the direction of the classroom team

  • Support students with mobility, transitions, and classroom participation

  • Reinforce social, emotional, communication, and functional life skills

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and related service providers

  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

  • Maintain basic documentation as needed
     

What We're Looking For

  • Must have 60 college credit hours OR completed the 20 hour substitute certificate course OR have passed the ParaPathways/ParaPro assessment

  • Experience working with children or individuals with significant support needs or disabilities preferred

  • Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills

  • Ability to follow individualized education and behavior support plans

  • School-based or paraprofessional experience is a plus
