Job description

As our Lead People Services Europe (m/f/d) you will ensure stable, compliant and service-oriented People Services delivery across the European region. In this role, you will lead the regional People Services Partner team in Europe, balance workload during peak times, resolve operational escalations and make timely decisions within defined global standards and local legal requirements. You will act as a regional anchor for operational excellence and contribute to People Services projects, process improvements and HR transformation initiatives, as well as local HR compliance initiatives and policies. You will work with international, remote, diverse, open-minded, helpful and friendly team of HR professionals.

The position is on full-time basis, with a workload of 40 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, development and performance management to the European People Services Partner team while fostering a collaborative, inclusive and accountable working environment.

  • Act as first escalation point for complex employee lifecycle, policy, payroll preparation and local compliance topics in Europe.

  • Make operational decisions within agreed frameworks and escalate legal, financial or reputational risks when required. Ensure consistent execution of employee lifecycle processes, data quality and documentation standards.

  • Translate global People Services standards into regional execution and provide practical feedback for process improvement.

  • Support and steer regional or global HR Operations projects, including Dayforce, documentation, automation and process harmonization.

  • Monitor service quality, identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions with the team.

  • Cover absences of People Partners or Senior People Services Partners in Europe.

  • Take ownership for own Area of Lead support & EoR Services.

Requirements:

  • Degree or vocational training in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Law, Psychology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Several years of experience in HR Operations, People Services or a comparable HR service delivery role in Germany and in an international environment.

  • Proven experience coordinating or leading HR operational teams across multiple countries.

  • Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, payroll preparation interfaces, HR data quality, documentation standards and escalation management.

  • Experience working with local employment requirements in Europe and translating global standards into practical regional execution.

  • Experience leading HR transformation, HRIS, process harmonization or continuous improvement projects.

  • Confident use of HRIS platforms, preferably Dayforce or comparable systems.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (especially Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and well versed in working with Co-Pilot.

  • Ability to work with HR data, reports, process documentation, ticket or task tracking tools and workflow automation concepts.

  • Solid understanding of data privacy, information security and documentation requirements in HR Operations.

  • Fluency in English language (B2+ level) and German language (C1+ level) required, another European language is an advantage.

  • HR, payroll, labour law, project management or HRIS-related certification is an advantage.
