Location: Brasil (100% Remote or Hybrid for Serra Gaúcha Residents or Greater São Paulo area) 

Compensation Currency: Brazilian Real (BRL)

About the Role

The Commercial Finance Senior Manager is the operational and analytical lead for Commercial Finance within the Brazil Unit. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, the role owns the financial models, planning cycles, reporting processes and investment analysis that provide an accurate and current view of Business Unit performance.

This is a hands-on management position with responsibility for leading and developing the Business Unit Commercial Finance team. The Senior Manager will work closely with the Business Unit Controller, Revenue Operations and leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Professional Services and Research and Development.

The Commercial Finance Director retains responsibility for the General Manager relationship and the overall financial narrative. The Senior Manager provides the analysis behind that narrative, forms independent views on performance and translates financial and operational information into clear recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial finance agenda for the Brazil business, acting as a strategic partner to senior commercial and operational leaders.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, translating commercial assumptions into clear financial outcomes.
  • Deliver insightful analysis of revenue, margin, operating expenses, cash flow and business performance.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, recommend corrective actions and support decisions that improve sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews, presenting financial results and recommendations to local and regional stakeholders.
  • Strengthen financial discipline, reporting accuracy and planning processes across the business.
  • Develop business cases for strategic initiatives, investments, pricing decisions and resource allocation.
  • Lead, coach and develop the local finance team, establishing clear priorities and high standards of performance.
  • Partner with accounting, tax, treasury and shared-services teams to ensure financial integrity and compliance.
  • Improve reporting and analytical capabilities through automation, standardisation and effective use of data.
     

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering within a complex or multinational organisation.
  • Proven experience managing and developing finance professionals.
  • Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and management reporting.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to connect financial analysis to business strategy and operational decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and constructively challenge business assumptions.
  • Strong analytical judgement, with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Portuguese and English.
  • High degree of autonomy, accountability and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP, planning and business-intelligence tools.
     

Nice to Have

  • Experience in software, technology, SaaS or another recurring-revenue business.
  • Previous responsibility for a business unit or regional P&L.
  • Experience working with international or matrixed teams.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Brazilian accounting and tax requirements.
  • Experience implementing or improving FP&A systems, dashboards or automated reporting.
  • MBA, postgraduate qualification or recognised finance certification.
