Reporting to the Sales Supervisor, you’ll provide knowledgeable and responsive support across phone, live chat and email. You’ll take the time to understand each customer’s needs, recommend suitable bikes and accessories, explain the value of our products and offers, and confidently guide customers through their purchase. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Understand each customer’s needs, riding style, preferences and budget before recommending suitable products.
  • Provide accurate advice on bicycles, parts, accessories, product availability and current offers.
  • Convert pre-sales enquiries into purchases through helpful, confident and customer-focused sales conversations.
  • Identify relevant opportunities to upsell or cross-sell parts and accessories that add genuine value to the customer’s purchase.
  • Follow up qualified leads and open sales enquiries within agreed timeframes.
  • Meet agreed individual and team targets for sales, conversion, response times and customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate and complete customer, lead and sales records in company systems.
  • Build positive customer relationships that support repeat purchases and long-term customer value.
  • Monitor common customer questions, objections and sales trends, and share useful insights with the Sales Supervisor.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on sales activity, lead progress and results.
  • Attend scheduled team meetings, coaching and product training sessions.
  • Use feedback and performance data to continuously improve sales knowledge and results.
  • Support other reasonable sales-related tasks as required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in sales, ideally in ecommerce, retail or a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of bicycles, components and accessories.
  • A genuine interest in cycling and the ability to quickly develop detailed product knowledge.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with confidence communicating with customers by phone, live chat and email.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, recommend appropriate products and convert enquiries into sales.
  • Strong selling, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM, customer service or sales systems to manage enquiries and follow up leads.
  • Strong organisation, time-management and multitasking skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and other online tools.
  • The ability to work independently, stay focused and meet targets in a remote environment.
  • A calm and adaptable approach when priorities, systems or processes change.
  • A proactive mindset, openness to feedback and willingness to take ownership of results.

No formal qualifications are required for this position.
