Job description

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Costing Tool Analyst for our client on a project basis. This role is fully remote. 

Responsibilities:  
  • Enhance and maintain enterprise-grade Excel-based costing and quoting tools.
  • Develop costing models for materials, machine rates, labor, throughput, overhead allocation, scrap, and manufacturing losses.
  • Automate calculations for individual quotes, large RFQ batches, and scenario-based pricing analyses.
  • Validate cost outputs against actual manufacturing performance and economics.
  • Optimize model efficiency, data integrity, and calculation performance.
  • Partner with operations, manufacturing, finance, and commercial teams to refine costing assumptions and methodologies.
  • Create documentation for model logic, maintenance processes, user training, and governance standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to costing accuracy and pricing effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
  • 5+ years of relevant packaging or manufacturing experience  
  • Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
