We are seeking a Sr. Technical Writer/Editor to support our federal client.
This position is contingent on contract award.
Employment Status: Full-Time
Location: This position is fully remote within the U.S.
The Sr. Technical Writer/Editor will provide expert technical editing and content refinement support across communications, web content, and technical resources for our federal client program.
In this full-time role, you will review, edit, and rewrite technical materials to ensure full compliance with plain language standards, active voice, logical content organization, and consistent formatting. You will adapt tone and style to suit various target audiences and sensitivity levels, ensuring complex technical information is communicated clearly, concisely, and effectively to diverse audiences.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
Experience:
4+ years of overall professional technical writing and editing experience.
3+ years of dedicated technical editing experience supporting federal or enterprise communications, web content, and technical documentation projects.

Plain Language & Active Voice: Expert proficiency in applying plain language principles, active voice, appropriate detail levels, and consistent styling to improve ease of understanding and readability.
Audience Adaptation: Proven ability to adapt tone, structure, and style to match specific target audience sensitivities and technical comprehension levels.
Content Organization: Skilled in organizing, structuring, and editing technical resources, user documentation, and program communications into clean, accessible formats.
