Job description

About us

Founded in 1996, Argos Multilingual is a global provider of technology-enabled language, AI and data solutions. We combine human expertise, technology and AI to help organisations communicate, operate and grow across markets.

We work with some of the world’s most recognised companies, from global technology leaders and e-commerce innovators to major organisations in life sciences and manufacturing.

We are an international organisation with 400+ people across 42 countries. We continue to expand our capabilities in AI and data alongside our established language and localisation expertise, building on a strong foundation while embracing the opportunities created by new technology.

About the role

As a Senior Product Manager in our Research and Development (R&D) department, you will manage complex products, multiple products, or a broader product domain with a high level of independence. You will carry out core product management responsibilities while operating at greater complexity, engaging across broader stakeholder groups, and taking increased ownership of cross-team coordination and escalation. You will also represent product topics in leadership discussions when needed.

This is a senior role with significant autonomy. You will independently lead discovery, clarify business needs with internal and external parties, navigate delivery dependencies, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. You will act as a senior point of contact for product-related questions, escalations, and stakeholder concerns, ensuring high standards across the full product lifecycle.

We are looking for an experienced product professional who can operate effectively in ambiguity and manage shifting priorities with a structured, delivery-oriented mindset. You will bring sound judgement, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to resolve major issues and cross-team conflicts. You will also contribute to continuous improvement across our product ways of working and support less experienced colleagues.

You will report directly to the Director of Product Management.

What you'll do

Discovery & Product Strategy

  • Independently lead discovery and clarification with requestors, stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and other relevant parties to define business needs and product direction.
  • Apply strong design sprint methodologies and product lifecycle management practices to explore, validate, and shape initiatives.
  • Use prototyping and visualization tools to support effective product discovery, concept validation, and requirement definition.
  • Manage and prioritize backlogs and lead requirements engineering across complex or multi-product initiatives.

Delivery & Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Lead product discussions in team meetings and coordinate major cross-team developments involving multiple stakeholders or delivery groups.
  • Work closely with Development, Technical Lead, UX, QA, and adjacent teams to resolve ambiguity, dependencies, and delivery blockers.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads on technical design and UX designers on formal UI/UX mockups.
  • Maintain clear and auditable product documentation, decision records, and communication changes.

Rollout, Adoption & Stakeholder Management

  • Support rollout planning, training readiness, adoption tracking, and post-release feedback.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for product-related questions, bugs, escalations, and stakeholder concerns.
  • Prepare and communicate clear status updates - including progress, risks, blockers, decisions, and escalation needs - to relevant stakeholders and leadership.
  • Participate in leadership meetings when product representation, escalation, prioritization, or clarification is required.

Continuous Improvement & Leadership

  • Drive the resolution of major issues, cross-team conflicts, and ambiguous topics, escalating appropriately when broader organizational decisions are needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of product management ways of working and operational processes.
  • Support, guide, and mentor less experienced team members where appropriate.

Who you are

A self-directed, solutions-oriented product leader comfortable with high autonomy, ambiguity, and shifting priorities. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, communicate complex topics clearly to non-experts, collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional technical teams and senior stakeholders, and take pride in fostering product excellence.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in product development, product management, or localization.
  • Proven experience managing complex products, multiple products, or high-dependency product initiatives with high independence.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, software delivery, requirements engineering, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong design sprint knowledge and practical experience with prototyping and visualization tools for discovery and validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and navigate shifting priorities with a structured, delivery-oriented approach.
  • Proven track record of cross-team coordination, conflict resolution, and communication across senior stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and technical teams.
  • Experience working with Jira, Asana, Outline, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and product concepts to non-experts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Management, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Linguistics/Localization Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
