CTG is seeking to fill a Senior IMS Systems Programmer (IBM IMS Tools & Database Administration) position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Duties:
Support IBM IMS systems programming, IMS database administration, installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and migration.
Install and deploy IBM and ISV mainframe products following customer requirements and best practices.
Perform problem determination, troubleshooting, system programming, and production support for z/OS environments.
Support IMS, DB2, and CICS administration and application development environments.
Assist with IMS database migrations, product conversions, and modernization initiatives.
Evaluate and support migration tools, utilities, and language conversions.
Interface directly with customers and technical teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, and communicate solutions.
Develop technical presentations and organize complex technical materials for customer-facing engagements.

Experience:
Senior-level experience with IBM IMS systems programming and database administration in enterprise z/OS environments.
Strong knowledge of IBM product installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and migration processes.
Experience supporting IMS, DB2, and CICS environments.
Experience with mainframe application programming and migration/conversion tools.
Ability to analyze customer requirements, troubleshoot complex IBM product issues, and provide technical recommendations.
Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional technical organizations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $100.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
