Support a neurologist across both hospital-based clinical documentation and private neurology practice operations, ensuring medical information and documentation are accurate, complete, organized, and processed efficiently.

During hospital coverage, the role will focus primarily on clinical documentation support, medical records, and related workflows. Private-practice responsibilities will include managing patient intake and scheduling, communicating with patients referred by law firms, reviewing and correcting AI-generated medical notes, preparing referrals, maintaining EHR records, sending required documentation to attorneys, and assisting with administrative workflows.

The successful candidate will combine strong medical knowledge and documentation skills with excellent written English, technological proficiency, and exceptional attention to detail. They should be comfortable following detailed systems while independently resolving routine problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the neurologist with accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical record management.
  • Review, edit, and correct physician notes and AI-generated medical documentation for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
  • Identify missing, inconsistent, duplicated, or incorrect information in medical records.
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient information within the EHR.
  • Review medical records and prepare relevant information for patient visits and physician documentation.
  • Manage patient intake, scheduling, appointment coordination, and follow-up.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, attorneys, law firms, and other external parties.
  • Prepare and process referrals, medical records, and supporting documentation.
  • Send authorized documentation to appropriate external parties and track outstanding requests.
  • Follow up on missing records, incomplete information, referrals, and administrative requirements.
  • Use AI tools, EHR systems, Google Workspace, and other digital platforms efficiently.
  • Follow established templates, procedures, and physician-specific workflows.
  • Independently resolve routine documentation and administrative issues and escalate when clinical judgment is required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive patient information.

Requirements

3+ years of relevant healthcare experience preferred, particularly medical scribing, clinical documentation, medical records, or related clinical support.

Clinical background strongly preferred: foreign-trained physician, RN, Senior Medical Scribe, Clinical Documentation Specialist, or comparable profile.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation.

Previous experience with U.S. healthcare providers, EHR systems, and U.S. medical documentation strongly preferred.

Excellent written English and ability to produce accurate, professional medical documentation.

Experience reviewing, editing, and correcting clinical/medical notes.

Ability to review and clean AI-generated medical documentation for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.

Strong proficiency with AI tools and technology and ability to quickly learn new systems.

Familiarity with Google Workspace for communication and documentation.

Excellent attention to detail and a very high standard of accuracy.

Ability to follow detailed procedures, templates, and workflows consistently.

Ability to independently identify and resolve routine documentation and administrative issues.

Understanding of patient confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive medical information.

Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and professional remote working environment.

Ability to consistently work Pacific Time business hours.

Must be available to work two weekends per month.

Must be comfortable working 7 consecutive days twice per month.
