Job Description

Purpose:

The Analytics Analyst will be a part of Analytics and Insights Group. It will play a critical role in enabling our business partners to utilize data to drive key strategic decisions, supporting the Operations and Business teams. Primary objectives are reporting and analyzing performance through Power BI and/or Tableau dashboard development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a valued business partner to the Operations and Business teams to identify opportunities for improvement; prioritize business and information needs
  • Developing and managing business intelligence solutions for the organization. This includes understanding the information needs of our business partners, familiarity with the data sources (SAP, Workday, CMS, BPC), and understanding of information and insight mechanisms like Tableau Dashboards, Power BI, Excel, SQL
  • Drive interpretation, understanding, and adoption of analytic insights.
  • Proactive in building positive relationships among team members and other functions with which the team interacts. Ability to express thoughts and findings clearly and succinctly (both written and orally); tailors communications for different audiences; listens well and effectively contributes to discussions; makes technical points understandable. Provide the business partners with actionable information that drives decision-making
  • Establishes priorities and deadlines, assesses resources, and defines next steps
  • Partner and work closely with the IT Department to improve reporting/dashboard functionality and drive automation
  • Identifying the development needs for streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability
  • Troubleshooting any reported issues by the business partners.
  • Identify and improve the quality, accuracy, completeness of underlying data used by the teams
  • Provide month-end reporting, process improvement, and ad hoc support in a dynamic business environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or Computer and Information Science
  • Minimum two years of experience in developing dashboards/visualizations in data visualization software such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong work ethic with ability to leverage others and work in a cross functional environment
  • Self-initiative and commitment to excellence
  • Prior experience with programs such as SQL, DAX, etc. is a plus
  • Good understanding of relational database concepts is a plus
  • Proven strength and aptitude in working with data and numbers
  • Ability to collect and compile relevant data
  • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & Communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Travel up to 10%
