Role Summary

Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better. As a Senior UI Designer I on the Digital Design team, you’ll shape the visual direction of major digital experiences, turning complex problems into clear, expressive, and accessible interfaces. You’ll move between concept and craft, from establishing visual direction to refining high-fidelity interactions and evolving reusable design systems. You’ll also explore AI-assisted design and creative tools to accelerate the work while keeping strong design judgment, user needs, accessibility, and brand principles at the center.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead visual design direction for major Marketing projects and digital experiences from early concepts through implementation and launch.
  • Translate user needs, business goals, and brand strategy into intuitive, polished, accessible interface experiences.
  • Set and evolve visual standards across typography, composition, imagery, interaction, responsive behavior, and detail states.
  • Develop reusable design systems, component patterns, and UI standards that improve consistency, accessibility, and team efficiency.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes that clearly communicate complex flows, responsive behaviors, transitions, and interaction intent.
  • Apply purposeful motion and animation to improve comprehension, feedback, hierarchy, and the overall user experience.
  • Use AI-assisted design and creative tools to accelerate ideation, iteration, production, and documentation while maintaining human review and design quality.
  • Partner across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Research, Brand, and Content while mentoring designers and strengthening critique, QA, and shared design practices.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of professional experience in UI design, visual design, product design, or a related discipline.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft across digital experiences, including typography, layout, hierarchy, responsive behavior, and attention to detail.
  • Experience leading visual design direction for complex projects or multiple workstreams.
  • Experience creating and evolving design systems, component patterns, and UI standards.
  • Experience building high-fidelity prototypes and communicating interaction intent to cross-functional partners.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility, inclusive design, and user-centered design principles.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions, navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and collaborate across disciplines.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with motion design, animation, interaction design, or prototyping complex behaviors.
  • Experience using AI-assisted design or creative tools for ideation, exploration, prototyping, production, or documentation.
  • Familiarity with front-end development constraints and implementation of responsive, accessible interfaces.
  • Experience designing for large-scale digital ecosystems, SaaS environments, or Marketing web properties.

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Annual Cash Compensation Range:$136,100—$204,200 USD

At HubSpot, we value both flexibility and connection. If you are joining our Engineering team, you will be required to attend a regional HubSpot office for in-person onboarding. If you join our broader Product team, you’ll also attend other in-person events, such as your Product Group Summit and other gatherings, to continue building on those connections.
