Job Description:

This is a role within the Castrol organization, and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

About the role:

In this role you will monitor performance, provide analysis and insight, and to make interventions to help drive performance improvements in the local Supply Chain operations in Greece region. Also provide Support the Local Supply Chain teams and Castrol Europe Finance Manager regarding Supply Chain performance analysis and reporting, continuously reviewing and addressing Supply Chain value chain efficiencies. Including Spain, Portugal, Romania, and Gibraltar as part of the scope based on the collection of countries.

Key accountabilities:
 

Performance Management

  • Provide accurate and timely MI, review and analyse financials, decision support, performance information and economic analytics to help improve performance in Supply Chain.

  • Supports the translation of financial and operational performance data to the businesses to help articulate the underlying delivery of actuals vs. latest forecasts on a monthly basis.

  • Responsible for supporting Planning, forecast and variance analysis (including warehousing & logistics where appropriate).

  • Monitors in-year performance via indicators using multiple lenses to provide qualitative insights and recommend and implement interventions where necessary e.g. changes to forecasting methodology.

  • Responsible for helping to ensure the business makes considered trade off decisions and that working capital is optimised.

  • Support the delivery of key projects (including the development of the FM)

  • Lead the analysis of any over/under recoveries.

  • Provide local oversight of product costing analysis and PCTP compliance.

  • Lead inventory data, stock value/pricing, inventory variances (data produced by accounting team/BSC) and ensure stock count & asset verification is completed and take appropriate corrective actions.

General

  • Support PCTP & SLOB review meetings, participate in plant SC meetings, and follow up on actions identified.

  • Work with the accounting team/GBS to resolve SC related accounting issues and support continuous process improvements.

  • Support minimum control expectations (MCE), working with the ARC team to provide assurance over reporting accuracy and integrity, and compliance with GRM requirements.

  • Ensure completion of local system structure maintenance/updates, ad hoc requests and input to DD and audits as required.

  • Contribute to managing and mitigating the risks and opportunities associated with finance supply chain activities.

  • Responsible for end-to-end cost tracking, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely reporting across the organisation.

  • Leads and coordinates the audit process, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.

People

  • Active membership of the Supply Chain networks across the clusters.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. (Essential education)

  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

  • Significant experience in financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and performance management.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data, identify key business drivers and provide actionable insights.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to influence decision-making and drive business performance improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance audiences.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling techniques.

  • Proven experience working with ERP and reporting systems (e.g. SAP, Power BI, Analysis for Office, BI tools).


Desirable Criteria:

  • Spanish or Greek as an advantage. 

  • ARC background.
