Account Manager Associate – CarepathRx

Join CarepathRx as an Account Manager Associate, where you will support patients, caregivers, referral sources, and Account Managers throughout the infusion and specialty pharmacy service process. In this role, you will help confirm insurance coverage, coordinate required documentation, communicate financial responsibilities, and support timely transitions to home-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Account Management team with customer and patient service needs across Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy programs.
  • Complete insurance verification activities and document coverage details accurately in the patient management system.
  • Enter and maintain patient demographics, services, payer information, and other required records.
  • Obtain insurance authorizations and precertifications required for specialty or infusion services.
  • Communicate benefit details, price quotes, and financial responsibilities to referral sources, patients, caregivers, and family members.
  • Coordinate payment agreements, financial assistance forms, advance beneficiary notices, and payer-required documentation.
  • Partner with referral sources and liaisons to gather supporting documentation needed to qualify patients for coverage.
  • Follow up with hospital staff regarding potential discharges and coordinate next steps under Account Manager guidance.
  • Notify servicing agencies of delivery timing and coordinate orders and documentation needed for patient care.
  • Protect patient confidentiality while delivering courteous, reliable, and responsive customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service, healthcare administration, insurance verification, billing, collections, or related experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and computer-based patient or business systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, caregivers, referral sources, payers, agencies, and internal partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated reliability, follow-through, and customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and business information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent business or healthcare experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in durable medical equipment, enteral services, billing, collections, or insurance verification.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, payer requirements, Medicare documentation, or prior authorization processes.
  • Experience supporting infusion, specialty pharmacy, or home-based patient services.



If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 17.75 - 19 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.


This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
