SensorUp Inc.

Internet of Things (IoT) Platforms

Heavy industry built systems of record, then systems of insight, but they don't give you what you need to act on it. SensorUp brings the data and the insights together to create action: an operating record that reads from the historian, SCADA, work-order, and EHS systems you already run, and connects what they know to the work. Historical data, read against live production, is how better decisions become better actions. With SensorUp, every operations program runs the same loop. Catch the signal in the noise. Prioritize it against the operating plan. Resolve it to an owner who closes it, with the fix verified on the same record an auditor can read. Five OGCI operators run SensorUp in production today, including Oxy, Repsol, and Petrobras. One upstream operator measured the before-and-after: 34% fewer dispatches, a reduction in persistent leak duration from 18 days to 10, and 1.5 person-years of field labor returned annually. Nothing gets migrated, nothing gets replaced. Read-only integration, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and human approval on every automated action. Learn more at www.sensorup.com

Job description

Who We Are

SensorUp is a purpose-built integrated platform to connect field operations and corporate reporting across the full emissions management lifecycle, from field inspections and leak detection through repair verification, regulatory and voluntary reporting, continuous improvement, and audit. We work with some of the world's leading upstream and midstream methane operators, and we're at an inflection point: growing our enterprise customer base, deepening strategic partner relationships, and building toward a future where AI-assisted emissions management is the norm, not the exception.

We're a focused, cross-functional team distributed across Canada and the United States, moving fast and motivated by the problem we're solving. We believe that eliminating fugitive methane emissions is both an environmental imperative and a solvable operational challenge, and we build our platform accordingly.

Our Vision

We're building the infrastructure layer for how the energy industry measures, manages, and monetizes emissions, from LDAR programs and OGMP 2.0 certification to carbon credit markets. Our goal is a world where every methane molecule is accounted for, and every operator has the tools to act on that data in real time.

The Role

As an Account Manager, you help manage a book of accounts within our Oil & Gas customer base, working closely with a Customer Success and Revenue team leadership. You are a reliable, customer-facing partner who translates our technical capabilities into practical value for the people using our platform day to day.

A member of the Revenue team, you support the post-sales account lifecycle: driving product adoption, preparing accounts for renewal, and surfacing expansion opportunities for the team to develop further. You'll partner with Product to support the growth Sales has landed, with your manager providing direction on strategy and escalations.

Your Impact

  • Commercial Health: Support Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) goals within your book of business.
  • Account Expansion: Identify and qualify expansion opportunities by understanding what your customers are trying to solve next. Close straightforward expansions independently and partner with Revenue team leadership on larger, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Adoption: Drive day-to-day feature adoption, help customers move from "detection" toward "mitigation" of methane emissions.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain a regular cadence with your day-to-day and management-level contacts. Prepare and run business reviews, partnering with the CRO for executive-level conversations.
  • Renewal Support: Prepare account health reviews and renewal materials, flag at-risk accounts early so management can step in when needed.
  • Time to Value: Support smooth handoffs from Sales and to Account Management and Implementation, helping new customers reach Day 1 readiness.
  • Advocacy & Presence: Identify and develop reference-able customers and case study candidates, and maintain a consistent presence through regular check-ins and periodic on-site visits.
  • Voice of the Customer (VoC): Capture signals from the field and bring them back to the CRO and Product leadership to inform roadmap priorities.

Your Experience

  • 3+ years in Account Management or Customer Success in B2B SaaS, with hands-on experience running renewals and contributing to expansion opportunities.
  • Some exposure to oil & gas operations and emissions or regulatory reporting (e.g., OGMP 2.0) is an advantage. We're happy to build this knowledge with you if you bring the right customer instincts.
  • Comfort building relationships with operational and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to build a clear business case for continued investment in enterprise software and to work through standard procurement and renewal processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the organizational habits needed to track a growing book of accounts with multiple stakeholders across each customer organization.

Why SensorUp?

  • A strategic thinker who is nimble and willing to drive change in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • A technically fluent customer advocate who finds as much satisfaction in closing a deal as they do in solving a technical problem.
  • A creative problem solver dedicated to helping the world's largest energy companies reach net-zero.
