  • Apply RF engineering principles to practical system-level scenarios
  • Evaluate system performance, technical constraints, and design limitations
  • Identify incorrect assumptions, calculations, or engineering approaches

Electromagnetic Analysis

  • Apply electromagnetic theory to real-world engineering problems
  • Analyse electromagnetic behaviour, field interactions, and propagation effects
  • Review calculations, modelling results, and technical assumptions
  • Evaluate whether proposed approaches are physically and technically sound
  • Provide rigorous explanations of electromagnetic phenomena and system behaviour

Antenna Engineering

  • Analyse antenna designs, configurations, and performance characteristics
  • Evaluate antenna behaviour against technical and system requirements
  • Review antenna modelling and simulation results
  • Assess design trade-offs affecting performance and integration
  • Identify weaknesses or limitations in proposed antenna solutions

RF Propagation & Wireless Systems

  • Evaluate RF propagation and channel-related engineering scenarios
  • Review applications involving wireless communications, radar, sensing, or related systems
  • Analyse performance limitations arising from propagation conditions
  • Assess system assumptions and proposed technical solutions
  • Apply practical engineering judgement to complex wireless environments

RF Circuits & Components

  • Review RF circuits, components, and subsystem designs
  • Evaluate technical specifications and expected performance
  • Assess engineering trade-offs involving frequency, signal behaviour, and system constraints
  • Identify potential design weaknesses or inconsistencies
  • Review proposed solutions for technical feasibility

EMC & EMI

  • Evaluate engineering scenarios involving electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic interference
  • Analyse potential interference mechanisms and system interactions
  • Review proposed mitigation or design approaches
  • Assess whether recommendations appropriately address identified electromagnetic issues
  • Apply practical EMC/EMI knowledge where relevant

Simulation & Modelling

  • Review electromagnetic and RF simulations for technical validity
  • Analyse simulation inputs, assumptions, boundary conditions, and resulting outputs
  • Work with or evaluate results produced using tools such as HFSS, CST, COMSOL, MATLAB, ADS, or equivalent platforms
  • Identify modelling limitations or inconsistencies
  • Assess whether simulation results appropriately support engineering conclusions

RF Measurement & Testing

  • Evaluate RF measurement and laboratory-testing approaches
  • Review test results, characterisation data, and technical findings
  • Assess whether measurements adequately support stated conclusions
  • Identify inconsistencies between predicted and measured behaviour
  • Apply practical RF testing experience to technical evaluation

Technical Evaluation & Feedback

  • Review technical specifications, system requirements, simulation results, calculations, and engineering data
  • Evaluate design trade-offs, performance limitations, assumptions, and proposed solutions
  • Validate technical approaches against project requirements
  • Identify substantive engineering errors or unsupported conclusions
  • Provide clear, technically rigorous explanations and feedback

Ideal Profile

  • Hands-on industry experience as an RF Engineer, Microwave Engineer, Antenna Engineer, Electromagnetic Engineer, or related engineering professional
