About the Role

Join us as a Senior Manager, Accounting, and play a key role in how our accounting function scales with the business. You’ll tackle challenging accounting questions, partner with leaders on new and evolving business initiatives, and help build processes and controls that are both robust and scalable.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys going beyond the technical answer, someone who can apply US GAAP with sound business judgment, influence stakeholders, and turn complex accounting requirements into practical solutions. You’ll have significant visibility across Finance and the broader business, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how we operate and grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with finance leadership and business stakeholders to assess complex transactions and operationalize revenue recognition policies under ASC 606.
  • Plan and draft technical accounting position papers, white papers, and policy memos to support new initiatives and non-routine transactions.
  • Support accounting for the parent company, subsidiaries, and intercompany activities, ensuring accurate consolidation and statutory compliance.
  • Strengthen SOX-related controls across revenue, close, and reporting cycles; identify gaps and collaborate with process owners for remediation.
  • Own technical journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables during month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Develop and maintain audit-ready documentation and serve as a key contact for external auditors on technical and operational matters.
  • Build scalable accounting processes and tracking mechanisms for new revenue streams and payments initiatives, reducing reliance on external consultants.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Product, Operations, Tax, and Finance teams to support business initiatives and communicate technical conclusions clearly.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of post-qualification accounting experience, with strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting external audits and/or designing and operating SOX-related controls; Big 4 public accounting or US auditing experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience applying revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) across complex business models such as subscription, transaction-based, marketplace, payments, lead generation, or professional services.
  • Strong experience in financial close, reconciliations, technical accounting, and high-volume transaction environments.
  • Proven ability to assess complex accounting matters, exercise sound judgment, and translate technical conclusions into practical business solutions.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and ERP systems, with an interest in leveraging automation and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and cross-functional teams, communicating complex accounting matters clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • People management experience is preferred, along with the ability to coach, guide, and develop others.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to AI, digital platforms, subscription businesses, or platform-based revenue models.
  • Experience accounting for multi-sided marketplaces, payment processors, and digital service platforms.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL) for financial reporting and operational insights.
