We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced professionals with backgrounds in event planning, hospitality management, venue operations, catering, guest services, or related service industries.

This role focuses on reviewing and evaluating event and hospitality-related documents and professional work products for quality, accuracy, relevance, and practical soundness. Selected professionals will assess plans, operational materials, spreadsheets, presentations, and supporting documentation while providing clear, structured feedback.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Management

  • Review event plans, schedules, briefs, and supporting materials for accuracy and completeness
  • Assess whether proposed event approaches are practical and appropriately structured
  • Evaluate timelines, resources, responsibilities, and execution considerations
  • Identify planning gaps, inconsistencies, or unsupported recommendations
  • Apply professional judgement grounded in real-world event management experience

Hospitality Operations

  • Evaluate hospitality-related plans, procedures, and operational materials
  • Review service workflows, staffing considerations, and guest-facing processes
  • Assess whether proposed approaches reflect realistic hospitality environments
  • Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, or unclear responsibilities
  • Evaluate recommendations for practicality and service quality

Venue & Event Operations

  • Review materials involving venues, event logistics, and onsite coordination
  • Assess scheduling, capacity, resource, and operational requirements
  • Evaluate coordination between teams, vendors, and service functions
  • Identify risks or gaps affecting event execution
  • Review operational recommendations for feasibility and completeness

Guest & Client Experience

  • Evaluate materials related to guest service and client-facing event experiences
  • Assess communication, service delivery, and coordination approaches
  • Review recommendations for maintaining consistent service standards
  • Identify gaps affecting guest satisfaction or event quality
  • Apply practical judgement from hospitality and service environments

Catering & Service Coordination

  • Review plans involving catering, food service, or related event-support functions
  • Assess coordination requirements, schedules, and operational dependencies
  • Identify missing information or impractical assumptions
  • Evaluate whether service plans align with broader event requirements
  • Review materials for clarity and professional usefulness

Budget & Operational Analysis

  • Review event and hospitality-related spreadsheets and supporting analyses
  • Assess budgets, calculations, schedules, tables, and assumptions
  • Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or calculation issues
  • Evaluate whether quantitative outputs support stated plans or conclusions
  • Maintain strong attention to detail across operational work products

Document & Presentation Review

  • Review Word documents and PowerPoint presentations for accuracy, clarity, and professional quality
  • Assess planning materials, reports, proposals, and presentation narratives
  • Identify inconsistencies between supporting information and presented conclusions
  • Evaluate organisation, readability, and information hierarchy
  • Review materials against defined project guidelines

Structured Evaluation & Feedback

  • Assess assigned work products against defined quality standards
  • Identify substantive event, hospitality, operational, analytical, and presentation issues
  • Distinguish material concerns from minor editorial issues
  • Provide clear, concise, and actionable written feedback
  • Apply evaluation criteria consistently across assignments

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • At least 2+ years of relevant professional experience in event planning, hospitality management, venue management, catering, or a closely related service industry
  • Experience as an Event Planner, Event Manager, Hospitality Manager, Event Coordinator, Catering Manager, Venue Manager, or similar professional
  • Strong understanding of event planning, hospitality operations, service delivery, and coordination
  • Strong analytical and document-review skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Comfortable reviewing varied event and hospitality-related work products
  • Able to work independently and provide precise professional feedback

Engagement Details

  • Part-time independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote
  • Applicants must be based in the United States, Europe, United Kingdom, or Canada
  • Compensation: $70–$150/hour
  • Flexible scheduling based on project requirements

  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
