We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced product and platform professionals with backgrounds in platform-focused product management, technical product strategy, and cross-functional product development.

This role focuses on reviewing and evaluating product and platform-related documents and work products for quality, accuracy, relevance, and strategic soundness. Selected professionals will apply practical product-management judgement to assess plans, analyses, recommendations, and supporting materials while providing clear, structured feedback.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Evaluation

  • Review product strategies, plans, and related work products for quality and accuracy
  • Assess whether recommendations are logically supported and commercially relevant
  • Evaluate product priorities, objectives, assumptions, and decision-making
  • Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or unsupported conclusions
  • Apply practical product-management judgement across varied assignments

Platform Product Management

  • Review materials related to platform-focused products and services
  • Assess platform strategy, capabilities, dependencies, and stakeholder considerations
  • Evaluate whether proposed product approaches are coherent and practical
  • Identify gaps in platform planning or execution logic
  • Review recommendations for clarity and strategic relevance

Technical Product Strategy

  • Evaluate technical product plans and strategy documents
  • Assess alignment between product objectives and technical considerations
  • Review requirements, dependencies, constraints, and implementation assumptions
  • Identify risks or inconsistencies affecting product feasibility
  • Evaluate whether technical recommendations support broader product goals

Product Documentation

  • Review product documents for accuracy, completeness, and professional quality
  • Assess written analyses, plans, specifications, and supporting materials
  • Identify unclear reasoning, missing information, or inconsistent terminology
  • Evaluate whether documents communicate product decisions effectively
  • Ensure conclusions are supported by the information presented

Spreadsheet & Presentation Review

  • Review product-related spreadsheets and presentations for accuracy and consistency
  • Assess tables, calculations, metrics, and supporting analyses
  • Evaluate PowerPoint and presentation materials for clarity and professional quality
  • Identify inconsistencies between underlying analysis and presented conclusions
  • Review information across multiple formats for alignment

Structured Evaluation & Feedback

  • Assess work products against defined quality standards and project guidelines
  • Identify substantive strategic, analytical, and presentation issues
  • Distinguish material product-management concerns from minor editorial issues
  • Provide clear, concise, and actionable written feedback
  • Apply evaluation criteria consistently across assignments

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • At least 2+ years of relevant professional experience in product management, platform management, technical product management, product strategy, or a closely related field
  • Experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Platform Manager, Product Owner, or similar professional
  • Strong understanding of platform-focused product management or technical product strategy
  • Strong analytical and document-review skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Comfortable evaluating varied product and platform-related work products
  • Able to work independently and provide precise professional feedback

Engagement Details

  • Part-time independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote
  • Applicants must be based in the United States, Europe, United Kingdom, or Canada
  • Compensation: $70–$150/hour
  • Flexible scheduling based on project requirements
  • Work focuses on product and platform strategy, document review, quality evaluation, and structured feedback
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
