Job description

Department Overview:

The Information Technologies Group (ITG) supports OHSU's mission by developing, implementing and maintaining technology-based services and solutions. 

Function/Duties of Position:

As part of the Information and Collaboration Services team, the student worker will assist with technical documentation, the weekly IT departmental newsletter, internal website maintenance, operational and project work. Materials developed will support systems changes, downtimes, new technologies, upgrades and security notifications.

This position will work with a cross-functional team of professionals focused on change management, user experience, training, business analysis and documentation.

ITG is happy to partner with students who wish to receive credit through their degree program for this work.

Required Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in:
    • Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours), OR

    • Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)
  • Student worker should understand fundamentals of technical documentation and user-focused design along with a general familiarity with web design and website platforms. 
  • Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, strong writing and editing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate program in technical writing or business communications.
  • Experience working in SharePoint, experience with photo editing or publishing tools a plus.
Additional Details:

Students are expected to work 10-15 hours per week during regular office hours, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:30pm, with a set schedule for each term. ITG’s core hours are 10am – 3pm.

 
The position is available for 3-4 quarters (9-12 months).

This is a full remote, teleworking position.
