Java Developer

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

·   Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Java/J2EE technologies.

·   Develop and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend components.

·   Translate business and functional requirements into effective technical solutions.

·   Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following development standards.

·   Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.

·   Participate in code reviews, debugging, deployment, and application support activities.

·   Work with databases and develop or optimize SQL queries as required.

·   Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, DevOps, and support teams.

·   Support application integration with internal and external systems.

·   Maintain technical documentation and adhere to coding, quality, and security standards.

Required Skills

·   Strong hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, and object-oriented programming.

·   Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.

·   Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.

·   Experience working with SQL and relational databases.

·   Knowledge of Git or similar version-control tools.

·   Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery practices.

·   Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

·   Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

·   Experience with Maven or Gradle.

·   Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.

·   Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

·   Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

·   Experience working with enterprise application integrations.

Qualifications & Experience

·   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

·   Relevant hands-on experience in Java application development and support.

·   Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
