Location: Remote
Working Pattern: Fractional – approximately 6–8 hours per week
Environment: Early-Stage FinTech / People Operations
Our client is an early-stage FinTech currently building out its team, leadership capability and internal infrastructure.
As part of this development, the company is looking for a Fractional HR Officer to provide practical People Operations support under the direction of an experienced senior People leader.
This opportunity is particularly suited to an early-career HR professional who already has some practical HR experience but is looking to broaden their exposure, develop their capability and take on increasing responsibility.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of People activity within an early-stage organisation, including recruitment, onboarding, People administration, documentation, employee/consultant records and the development of People processes.
This is not an opportunity for somebody seeking purely observational HR experience. You will be expected to contribute practically, take responsibility for agreed tasks and handle sensitive information appropriately.
In return, there is significant opportunity to learn, develop and gain exposure to the practical development of a People function from an early stage.
Further details regarding the engagement and participation structure will be discussed directly with candidates progressing through the process.
Please submit your CV together with a cover letter. Within your cover letter, you must answer each of the mandatory qualifying questions below.
These questions are mandatory and form part of our initial assessment process. Applications that do not provide a clear answer to every mandatory qualifying question will be automatically disqualified and will not be considered further in the recruitment process.
Working under the direction of senior People leadership, you will provide practical support across the developing People function.
Your responsibilities are likely to include:
This is a developmental opportunity, but some existing HR knowledge and practical experience is required.
You should have:
Experience within technology, FinTech, financial services, startups or another regulated environment would be useful but is not essential.
We are more interested in finding someone with the right HR foundations, judgement, reliability and desire to develop.
Unlike an HR role within a large established organisation where responsibilities may be limited to one narrow area, this opportunity offers exposure to the development of a People function from an early stage.
You will have the opportunity to:
For the right person, this should provide considerably broader exposure than a narrowly defined junior HR position within a large organisation.
This is a flexible, fractional engagement of approximately 6–8 hours per week within an early-stage FinTech venture.
It is particularly suited to someone who wants to develop their HR career while participating in the development of a growing organisation alongside other compatible professional or study commitments.
The engagement is structured around participation in the longer-term development and growth of the business rather than a conventional employment package at this stage.
Full details of the participation structure will be discussed with candidates progressing through the process.
After you apply, unlock the direct contact details of the people who actually make the call. A quick follow-up makes you 5x more likely to land an interview.
