Positive Partnerships is a national project funded by the Australian Government Department of Education. We’re delivered by Aspect. We work in partnership with families, educators and communities to strengthen positive outcomes for autistic young people. Job Description

The Team Leader will be responsible for facilitating and delivering specific Positive Partnerships professional learning and parent/carer face to face and online programs, workshops, pilots/trials and webinars as determined by the program schedule. The role will also require a high degree of flexibility that may include leading or participation in a range of contract related activities. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Facilitating professional learning and parent/carer programs across a range of delivery formats 

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of state-based program activities 

  • Providing guidance, induction and support to program facilitators and delivery teams 

  • Building strong partnerships with educators, families and stakeholders 

  • Contributing to contract-related projects, pilots and continuous improvement initiatives 

  • Working collaboratively with state and national teams to achieve program objectives and maintain delivery excellence

Qualifications

You’ll bring: 

  • Degree/ Diploma - Education, Disability, Allied Health or a relevant field 

  • Excellent knowledge about evidence informed educational practice for autistic young people and effective home/school partnerships 

  • Experience in using current evidence about autism and education to inform practice

  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills 

  • Successful experience in workshop facilitation, including via online platforms 

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles 

  • A commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork 

  • A current Driver’s License and use of own vehicle for business purposes  

  • Work outside of standard work hours when project needs require it 

  • Able to undertake regular intrastate and interstate travel 

    Desirable: 

  • Experience working with Autistic young people and their families in education settings 

  • Lived Experience 

You’ll also need a current Working with Children Check (for state you reside in) (paid for by employee) and National Police Check (paid for by Aspect).
