Job Description

The Opportunity

We are currently welcoming expressions of interest from:

  • Early career qualified Occupational Therapists
  • Early career qualified Speech Pathologists

Across the following locations:

Sydney North | Sydney South | Sydney East | Sydney West | Wollongong | Central Coast/Newcastle | Northern NSW | Murrumbidgee | Canberra | Melbourne

Salary & Benefits

$81,000 – $120,000 per year FTE (inclusive of super)

Early Careers Program & Support

At Aspect, we know that starting your career is a big step—so we’ve built a program to support you every step of the way.

You’ll benefit from:

  • A comprehensive induction program while you build your caseload
  • A structured early careers training pathway (first 12–18 months)
  • Regular clinical supervision and mentoring
  • Training in Positive Behaviour Support and autism-specific approaches
  • Ongoing monthly professional development sessions
  • A gradual, supported transition to managing your own caseload

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting 3–4 participants per day in community settings
  • Working collaboratively with participants and their families/support networks
  • Building practical, functional skills that support everyday life
  • Developing strengths-based, person-centred support strategies
  • Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Unlike private practice, you won’t need to source your own clients—we’ll support you to build a sustainable caseload.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in:
    • Occupational Therapy, or
    • Speech Pathology
  • 1–3 years’ experience (or new graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Interest in working with autistic people and neurodivergence
  • Willingness to work in community-based settings
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia 
  • AHPRA registration (for OTs)
