Description:

This position coordinates the scheduling, approval, preparation, operation, and post-event management of designated event and academic spaces. Serves as a primary point of contact for users and event organizers, providing logistical guidance, location-specific information, and support throughout the reservation and event process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Responsible for maintaining the effective operation and appropriate use of event spaces, administering the reservation system, coordinating building access and event-related services, monitoring space conditions, facilitating fee transactions, and ensuring compliance with established event and space policies.
  • Provides technical guidance to users, maintains training documentation, and assists with academic class needs.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with the coordination of academic classes and related room requirements.
  • Participates in the development and continuous improvement of event and space procedures.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve reservation processes, space utilization, user communications, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable event, space, access, and reservation policies.
  • Performs other related duties responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma and four years of experience in event space coordination, or a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
