Job description

What You'll Do:

We're looking for a Chief of Staff, Marketing to serve as the strategic and operational right hand to our CMO. This is a senior leadership role. You'll walk in already knowing how to run the rhythm of an executive office and spend your time on the substance: sharpening strategy, driving execution, and making sure the right things get done by the right people at the right time.

Sales Development sits inside our marketing organization, and a good portion of what this org presents to leadership and the Board is driven by that pipeline and revenue data. This is a highly analytical seat and reporting, data storytelling, and executive presentations aren't a small piece of the job, they're the bulk of it.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Strategic Partnership & Executive Operations

  • Serve as the CMO's closest advisor and operator, running the cadence of the leadership team, prioritizing time, and making sure decisions and follow-ups don't fall through the cracks.

  • Build and refine board-level materials, including presentations to the ELT, Board and Vista Vista Equity Partners — bringing the polish and rigor this level of audience expects.

  • Prepare the CMO, and at times the CEO for high-stakes internal and external moments, from leadership offsites to Board reviews.

Sales Development, Reporting

  • In partnership with the VP of Sales Dev, oversee high-level reporting and performance rhythm for the Sales Development function, which sits within this org — pipeline contribution, conversion, and productivity metrics.

  • Build and own the recurring analytics that tell the story of pipeline health to the CMO, CEO, and Board

  • Partner closely with Revenue Marketing, Sales, and RevOps to keep the marketing narrative grounded in what's actually happening in the funnel.

Data, Budget & Headcount

  • Own budget management and headcount planning across the global marketing organization.

  • Use Snowflake and other reporting infrastructure to bring data-driven rigor to how the org tracks performance and tells its story.

  • Oversee operating rhythm for our global team, including our operations function based in India.

Executive Presence & Communication

  • Translate complex, cross-functional work into clear, executive-ready narratives and decks — this is a craft, not an afterthought.

  • Represent the CMO in rooms and relationships where judgment, discretion, and polish matter.

  • Travel regularly (approx 30%) alongside the CMO to company, industry, and Board events.

What You'll Need to be Successful:
  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff (or a functionally equivalent role) is required for external candidates

  • Deep proximity to go-to-market with time spent inside a marketing, sales, or revenue operations organization, with real fluency in pipeline and revenue mechanics. Ideally has directly managed or worked alongside a Sales Development function.

  • Highly analytical — this role lives in the data. Strong quantitative instincts, comfort building and defending reporting from scratch, and genuine skill turning numbers into a clear, executive-ready narrative.

  • Experience at a PE-owned company is a strong plus over public-company-only backgrounds — familiarity with the reporting cadence and rigor that ownership expects is directly relevant here.

  • Agency, events, or PR background is a real asset — strong client-management instincts and experience building and presenting polished, executive-ready materials (including direct exposure to CEO-level audiences) translate very well into this role.

  • SaaS / technology company experience valued over specific industry background — we care more about how you've operated in tech than whether you know tax compliance.

  • Comfortable with frequent travel alongside the CMO (approx 25%-30%).

Why This Role Matters

This is a rare seat: full visibility into how a $1.5B+ marketing organization is being built, direct partnership with a CMO who has reshaped the function, and real exposure to the CEO and Board along the way. If you've done this job before and you're ready to do it at a bigger, faster company, this is that next step.
