Job description

Simply Wall St has undergone a significant evolution, moving from a research platform to a Portfolio Command Center. This shift represents a fundamental change in our product and brand, designed to give stock investors the ultimate control room for managing their wealth.

Our Video team is building a sharp, opinionated presence on YouTube that helps everyday investors actually understand what's moving markets — and see Simply Wall St as the place that gets it.

We're looking for a video presenter/host to be the face and voice of our YouTube content. You'll take scripts grounded in real analysis and deliver them as videos people actually want to watch. Our aim is to serve our audience one well-produced long-form video a week.

This is not a full time role - paid on a per-video basis. We'll engage you to work remotely from wherever you are in the world, as long as you have your own decent video recording set-up.

Your main point of contact will be the Video Content Lead.

What you'll do

Deliver on camera, weekly

  • Present one long-form YouTube video per week (roughly 4 per month), going deep on a stock, sector, or investing theme.

  • Bring scripts to life with natural, conversational delivery — landing the hook, the emotional beats, and the call to action without sounding like you're reading.

  • Be the recognizable presence that builds audience trust and habit-forming viewership over time on the channel.

Interpret the script, don't just recite it

  • You'll work from scripts written by our editorial team, but the delivery is yours — pacing, emphasis, where to lean in.

  • Sustain energy, clarity, and personality across a longer runtime, where holding attention matters more than a punchy hook.

  • Bring credibility and warmth to material that's often dense — you make it feel like a conversation, not a lecture.

Work inside a real production pipeline

  • Film on a predictable weekly cadence to support a steady publishing schedule of one long-form video per week.

  • Work collaboratively with our editorial and video production teams, incorporating feedback quickly.

  • Flag when a script isn't working for delivery — you're the last check before it goes to camera, and your instincts on what plays and what doesn't matter.

Grow with the channel

  • Help build our on-camera presence into a recognizable face for retail investors on YouTube specifically.

  • Be comfortable with a channel in build mode — early days, evolving format, and real input into what works.

Who you are

Your knowledge base

  • Comfortable and credible talking about stocks, markets, and investing — you don't need to be an analyst, but you understand the material well enough that it doesn't sound rehearsed.

  • Familiarity with long-form YouTube conventions — pacing, structure, and holding attention over 10–15+ minutes.

  • Bonus: existing on-camera experience in finance, business news, or a comparable explainer/commentary format.

Your skill set

  • Strong, natural on-camera delivery — you can take a written script and make it sound like your own thought, not a recitation.

  • Able to sustain focus and energy through a full long-form take (or clean segments), without the performance flattening out.

  • Able to take feedback on tone, pacing, and framing, and adjust quickly without losing performance quality.

  • You'll need your own reliable recording setup (camera, audio, lighting) capable of broadcast-quality long-form YouTube output — we can share our technical minimums if helpful, but the gear and setup are yours to run.

Your attributes

  • Genuinely engaging — the kind of presence that makes people want to keep watching a 10-minute video, not just a 60-second one.

  • Reliable and low-maintenance in a remote production pipeline: you hit a weekly filming cadence, deliver clean footage, and communicate early if something's off.

  • Comfortable being the face of a channel that's still finding its voice — confident enough to bring character, humble enough to take a rewrite.

  • Genuinely curious about markets and investing, or at least genuinely good at sounding like it.
