Digital Content Manager & Vendor Coordination Specialist

Location: Nashville, TN (Remote)

Duration: 12 months

Seeking for a Digital Content Manager & Vendor Coordination Specialist to support the planning, development, management, and delivery of high-quality digital learning content and resources across multiple projects. This role will serve as a central point of coordination between internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, technology teams, and external vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital content development, instructional design, asynchronous learning, vendor management, project coordination, and Section 508/WCAG accessibility compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Content Development
    • Develop, manage, maintain, and enhance digital content for online and professional learning environments.
    • Review and edit multimedia content produced internally or by external vendors, including videos, graphics, presentations, e-learning modules, and web-based resources.
  • Instructional Design & Asynchronous Learning
    • Design and develop self-paced and asynchronous learning modules using instructional design best practices.
    • Create and support learning pathways, online courses, microlearning experiences, and digital resource repositories.
    • Use Learning Management Systems and digital authoring tools to build, publish, and maintain learning experiences.
  • Vendor Coordination & Project Management
    • Serve as a primary liaison between external vendors, consultants, internal teams, and project stakeholders.
    • Coordinate project schedules, milestones, deliverables, reviews, and approvals across multiple vendors.
    • Monitor vendor performance and ensure deliverables meet established contractual, quality, instructional, and accessibility requirements.
    • Facilitate project meetings, status updates, reviews, and stakeholder communications.
  • Accessibility & Quality Assurance
    • Ensure digital learning content complies with Section 508 accessibility requirements and applicable WCAG standards.
    • Conduct accessibility reviews of digital content and identify remediation requirements.
    • Support remediation of inaccessible digital materials.
    • Provide vendors and stakeholders with recommendations regarding accessible design and content-development practices.
    • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure digital products are functional, accessible, learner-centered, and instructionally effective.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate with leadership, program staff, instructional teams, technology teams, subject matter experts, vendors, and external partners.
    • Gather and document requirements and translate stakeholder needs into actionable project plans and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, Digital Media, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing digital content and learning resources.
  • Experience developing asynchronous learning modules, online courses, or self-paced learning experiences.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult-learning best practices.
  • Experience managing or coordinating projects involving multiple external vendors and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements and WCAG 2.1 or higher.
  • Experience reviewing and remediating digital content for accessibility compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in K-12 education, higher education, government, or public-sector environments.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, Moodle, Schoology, Blackboard, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with authoring and multimedia tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with established project-management practices and methodologies.
  • Accessibility, project-management, instructional-design, or related certifications such as CAPM or IAAP CPACC.
  • Relevant professional training or certifications in instructional design, accessibility, or e-learning authoring tools.
