World Languages Content Manager

Location: Remote, Nashville, TN

Duration: 12 months

Seeking for a World Languages Content Manager to provide content leadership, instructional expertise, and project management support for statewide World Languages initiatives. This role will collaborate with department staff, educators, district leaders, advisory panelists, and other stakeholders to develop and implement high-quality, standards-aligned instructional resources, evaluation tools, guidance materials, and professional learning opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in World Languages instruction, curriculum, assessment, standards implementation, instructional resource development, professional learning, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • World Languages Content & Instructional Support
    • Serve as the primary World Languages subject matter expert for assigned projects and initiatives.
    • Provide expertise related to World Languages standards, curriculum, assessment, instructional practices, and instructional shifts.
    • Support the interpretation and implementation of World Languages standards.
    • Develop and revise instructional focus documents, guidance materials, and other standards-aligned resources.
    • Collaborate with department staff to maintain consistency and alignment across instructional resources and communications.
    • Provide recommendations based on current research and best practices in World Languages teaching and learning.
  • Instructional Materials Evaluation
    • Develop, revise, and maintain evaluation rubrics for World Languages instructional materials.
    • Ensure evaluation criteria align with state standards, instructional expectations, and department guidelines.
    • Support the review and analysis of instructional materials and related educational resources.
    • Evaluate materials for standards alignment, instructional quality, usability, and effectiveness.
    • Develop guidance documents and recommendations to support consistent materials-review processes.
  • Advisory Panel Development & Management
    • Design and coordinate application processes for World Languages advisory panelists.
    • Develop application materials, selection criteria, scoring tools, and review protocols.
    • Review and analyze panelist applications and provide recommendations for membership.
    • Collaborate with department staff to support diverse and representative advisory-panel participation.
    • Coordinate advisory panel activities, meetings, communications, and documentation.
  • Advisory Panel Training & Facilitation
    • Develop training materials and supporting resources for advisory panel members.
    • Facilitate training sessions to prepare panelists for standards review, instructional-material evaluation, and other initiatives.
    • Provide ongoing World Languages content expertise and guidance to advisory panel members.
    • Support meeting planning, facilitation, follow-up activities, and documentation.
  • Professional Learning & Presentations
    • Design and deliver professional learning opportunities for educational leaders, district staff, and classroom educators.
    • Develop presentations, facilitator resources, training materials, and supporting documentation.
    • Facilitate virtual and in-person workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
    • Support educators in understanding and implementing World Languages standards, instructional shifts, and best practices.
    • Respond to stakeholder questions and provide technical assistance related to World Languages initiatives.
  • Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Manage assigned projects, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and communications.
    • Collaborate with department staff, educators, district leaders, advisory groups, and external partners.
    • Coordinate multiple initiatives and priorities while ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in World Languages, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in World Languages instruction, curriculum, assessment, and standards implementation.
  • Experience developing instructional resources, professional learning materials, educational guidance documents, or similar content.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, training sessions, or presentations for educators and educational leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and standards-aligned instructional practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management, planning, and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Education, World Languages, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting state-level, district-level, or other large-scale educational initiatives.
  • Experience developing instructional-material evaluation tools, scoring criteria, or rubric-based review processes.
  • Knowledge of current research and best practices in World Languages teaching and learning.
  • Experience working with advisory panels, committees, educator workgroups, or similar stakeholder groups.
