Job description

We are Vilgain - on a mission to change how people think about food. With 700+ people across Europe, the UK and the US, we develop high-quality, minimally processed products that make uncompromising nutrition accessible.

Now we are looking for a Food & Supplements Regulatory Specialist to help us ensure our products can legally enter and operate across the South Asia region.

This part of the role is focused on market-level regulatory execution and local compliance readiness across SEA markets. It covers the practical side of making sure our food and dietary supplement products meet local requirements, including product notifications and registrations, import and market-entry requirements, local regulatory obligations, authority communication, and documentation management.

What will you do?

  • Own the notification and registration of food and food supplements across SEA markets.

  • Research local regulations and turn them into clear, practical requirements for Vilgain.

  • Make sure our products, labels, claims and supporting documentation meet local requirements.

  • Handle market-entry requirements such as registrations, licences, permits, import requirements, environmental schemes, taxes and other local obligations.

  • Prepare, submit and maintain regulatory documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Work with local regulatory consultants, importers, distributors and other external partners.

  • Communicate with local authorities and help resolve regulatory questions or issues.

  • Monitor regulatory changes and identify anything that could impact our products or expansion plans.

  • Work closely with Product, Legal, Quality and Physical Product teams to build regulatory requirements into product development from the start.

  • Support new product launches by identifying regulatory requirements and potential risks early.

  • Keep our regulatory documentation and records accurate, structured and easy to access.

  • Help us build scalable regulatory processes and a knowledge base for future SEA expansion.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have experience in regulatory affairs or product compliance, ideally within food, dietary supplements or a related industry.

  • You understand how food and/or supplement regulations work and can navigate different national regulatory frameworks.

  • You have hands-on experience with product notifications, registrations, market-entry requirements or regulatory documentation.

  • You’re highly detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple markets, products and projects at the same time.

  • You’re a strong researcher who can read legislation, understand what actually matters and translate it into practical next steps.

  • You communicate confidently in English - both internally and with external partners and authorities.

  • Knowledge of one or more Southeast Asian languages is a strong plus.

  • You’re proactive, independent and comfortable making progress in an environment where not everything is already figured out.

  • You can communicate clearly with different stakeholders and aren’t afraid to ask questions, challenge existing approaches or find a better way.

Why join us?

  • Product: Europe’s fastest-growing food brands that change how people think about food.

  • Growth: We work in a fast-paced, transparent, and no-nonsense environment that supports professional growth and focuses on outcomes.

  • International impact: Help build the regulatory foundations for Vilgain’s expansion into a completely new region.

  • Ownership: Take responsibility for regulatory execution across multiple SEA markets and help shape the processes from the ground up.

  • Flexibility: Flexible working hours and a remote setup.

  • Team: Close collaboration with a tight, global team that’s hands-on and gets things done.

  • Benefits: Competitive compensation, plus monthly credits and employee discounts on Vilgain products.
