Senior IDMS / COBOL Systems Analyst Programmer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst Programmer to provide systems analysis, application development, production support, and technical expertise within a z/OS mainframe environment.

The consultant will work with Integrated Database Management Systems (IDMS) and related mainframe technologies, supporting the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and support mainframe applications.
• Develop and maintain Online IDMS applications using technologies such as ADSO, IDD, ADSC, MAPC, DDDL, DMLO, OLP, PFCH, and DME.
• Develop and support Batch/COBOL applications.
• Work extensively with JCL, SAS, VegaSoft, VSAM, SPF, TSO/ISPF, and other z/OS technologies.
• Perform IDMS screen mapping, including symbolic and physical mapping.
• Provide systems analysis and technical design for application enhancements and new development.
• Participate in project implementation and project-management activities.
• Provide application production support and troubleshoot issues within the mainframe environment.
• Work closely with technical teams and business users while providing strong IT customer service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recent programming experience working in an IDMS / COBOL / JCL / z/OS mainframe environment.
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in systems analysis, application development, and project implementation.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise/mainframe production applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
