Job description

Opportunity Information:

Job Location: Forest Park, GA 30297

About the Role

Worldpac is opening a brand-new 400,000-square-foot distribution center in Forest Park, GA, and we're looking for an Inventory Control & Quality Assurance (ICQA) Manager to lead inventory control and shipment accuracy work at Worldpac's distribution centers. You'll lead a team of 2 or more inventory control team members, manage inventory integrity through cycle counts, research inventory adjustments for root cause, track performance metrics, and lead continuous improvement teams to increase shipment quality. You'll also play a key role in redesigning warehouse solutions and processes that support productivity growth as we grow the business. This is a role with real room to grow: as you build your track record, there's potential to take on quality oversight across multiple distribution centers in our US and Canadian network. Travel is up to 10-25% depending on project needs across sites, and is subject to change based on business needs.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts and inventory adjustment activities, across multiple DCs — encompassing saleable inventory, cores processing, and customer returns. While this role will primarily focus on Worldpac's new 400K sq ft Forest Park, GA facility, there is room for growth with potential to oversee quality in multiple DCs across the US and Canadian network
  • Directly manage a team of 2 or more inventory control team members, including hiring, onboarding, and day-to-day supervision
  • Lead, coach, and develop the inventory control team through training, performance feedback, and day-to-day guidance; set individual and team goals and conduct performance reviews
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control KPIs, including cycle counts performed, inventory adjustments, and shipment quality as reported by branch and customer
  • Contribute to management of excess, obsolete, nonconforming, and slow-moving inventory; monitor off-site finished goods inventories to ensure compliance with shelf-life requirements
  • Lead the month-end reconciliation process for finished goods and raw materials across all North American facilities and external warehouses
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence; work with Operations leadership to identify root cause of issues and drive process improvement efforts
  • Manage core data elements that drive product storage decisions, including item weight and dimensions, bar code references, carton quantities, and more
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track performance against KPIs using Excel, SQL, and BI tools
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Support a new facility with an AutoStore goods-to-person system, reconciling inventory discrepancies among ERP, WMS, and AutoStore systems of record

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or distribution center operations within a high-SKU (50,000+) distribution center environment
  • Prior experience directly supervising or managing a team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing inventory data and supporting corrective actions to improve accuracy and reduce discrepancies
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other analytical tools
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or production management systems
  • Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification
  • Knowledge of store/branch fulfillment operations
  • Experience with AS400 environments
