Job description

Job Description

Just looking good isn’t enough for us.
A store can look perfect and still sell poorly.
A button can be positioned three pixels better and still solve the wrong problem.
And sometimes, a small decision in the customer journey makes a bigger difference than a complete redesign.
If you see UX/UI not as decoration, but as a combination of design, psychology, data, and conversion, then read on.
In just four years, Pammys has grown to over 1 million customers. Today, more than 150 employees are working to turn Pammys into an international footwear brand.
As we grow, so do the demands on our digital experience.
We don’t want a store that just looks good.
We want an experience that feels like Pammys and, at the same time, works exceptionally well.
To achieve this, we’re looking for a Head of UX/UI (m/f/d).

Important: We’re an office-first company. This role is based in Hamburg and works closely with Creative, Performance Marketing, Tech, and management.

Your mission

  • Own UX/UI and the end-to-end digital customer experience across our international Pammys stores
  • Lead and develop our UX/UI team with a strong focus on design quality, speed, and business impact
  • Define a clear UX/UI vision and design direction together with our Director of Creative
  • Continuously optimize the entire customer journey, from landing pages and navigation to PDP, cart, and checkout
  • Develop and prioritize CRO, A/B testing, and UX initiatives based on customer insights, data, and business impact
  • Evolve our design system to create a consistent, scalable, and internationally adaptable digital experience
  • Translate our brand identity and creative direction into digital experiences that are unmistakably Pammys
  • Analyze conversion, user behavior, and customer journeys and turn insights into concrete improvements
  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Performance Marketing, E-Commerce, Development, and Product Development
  • Stay on top of current UX/UI, e-commerce, design, AI, and consumer trends and quickly translate relevant developments into our stores

Your profile

  • Several years of experience in UX/UI, product, or e-commerce design, ideally within a fast-growing DTC, fashion, consumer, or e-commerce brand
  • Proven experience leading and managing designers, both professionally and disciplinarily
  • Outstanding understanding of UX, UI, interaction design, and visual design
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce customer journeys and conversion optimization
  • Proven experience with CRO, A/B testing, and data-driven UX optimization
  • Highly proficient in Figma and modern design and prototyping workflows
  • Experience building and evolving design systems
  • Strong understanding of mobile-first design and international e-commerce
  • Ability to translate quantitative data and qualitative customer insights into concrete design decisions
  • Strong instinct for current design, e-commerce, and digital consumer trends
  • Strong commercial mindset and a clear understanding of how design drives conversion and revenue
  • A clear point of view, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to challenge and develop your team
  • High quality standards combined with speed, pragmatism, and strong execution

Why us?

  • Ownership: Own the digital experience of a fast-growing international e-commerce brand
  • Impact: Your decisions directly influence the experience and purchasing decisions of our customers every day
  • Creative Excellence: Work closely with our Director of Creative and our creative teams
  • Data & Scale: Make decisions based on large volumes of real customer and performance data instead of gut feeling
  • Speed: Short decision-making paths, fast testing, and the ability to see results quickly
  • Leadership: Actively shape and develop your function, your team, and our UX/UI structures
  • Benefits: Attractive compensation, public transport subsidy, and corporate benefits
