About the Role

As a Content Development Associate, you will apply your legal knowledge and analytical skills to the development and management of leading legal publications. Working closely with authors and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of content that supports legal professionals across Canada. This is an editorial role focused on content development and publication management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of designated publications, available both online and in print

  • Collaborate and follow-up with authors to ensure timely delivery of manuscripts according to our publishing schedule

  • Review manuscripts to make sure they adhere to our author guidelines and provide feedback to authors

  • Recruit new authors and proceed to author replacement for publications within your portfolio

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the legal community, including practitioners, academics, members of the judiciary, librarians, and other external partners

  • Act as a resource person for authors and our different departments for publications within your portfolio

Requirements

  • A Canadian law degree, or a law degree from another jurisdiction with a Certificate of Qualification from Canada’s National Committee on Accreditation

  • At least 1 year’s practice/articling or legal publishing experience

  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines for print, online and newsletter releases

  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of cross-departmental project teams

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills

  • Experience operating with AI as a standard part of workflows, including demonstrated hands-on experience using LLMs and AI-enabled tools daily to support content and analysis; iterating prompts to improve output quality and consistency

  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office suite

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home Based - Canada ON $59,100-$98,400(CAD). 

Canada National Base Pay Range: $59,100 - $98,400 (CAD).Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
