Operations Technical Lead

Would you like to drive innovation at the intersection of content, technology, and AI by improving workflows and solving complex data challenges?

Are you keen to join a Global Leader in Legal Analytics and Technology?

About our Team

At LexisNexis, we’re more than a legal and professional services company — we’re a team of thinkers, doers, and problem solvers. With 11,800 colleagues in over 150 countries, we’re using cutting-edge technology, including AI, to power real change in the legal and compliance industries.

About the role

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex content and data challenges while ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal information to customers. You will partner with Editorial, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to manage content conversion, troubleshoot data and workflow issues, lead user acceptance testing, and drive continuous quality improvements across digital and print platforms. As part of LexisNexis Legal's modernization journey, you will also contribute to automation and AI-enabled initiatives that enhance content operations, scalability, and customer experience.

Responsibilities

Content Operations & Conversion

  • Build and maintain new and replacement content sources across multiple content types.
  • Perform end-to-end conversion troubleshooting, ensuring accurate transformation from source input to customer-ready content across digital and print formats.
  • Analyze input data (XML, HTML, Word, InDesign, PDF) to ensure proper conversion handling, metadata accuracy, and compliance with conversion specifications.
  • Resolve XML markup and structural issues across multiple content types, ensuring consistency across digital and print outputs.
  • Ensure outputs align with product requirements and downstream platform behavior.

User Acceptance Testing & Quality

  • Create and execute UAT plans and test cases for new features, product launches, and workflow changes.
  • Validate functional and non-functional requirements across content and platform workflows.
  • Track and manage defects in tools such as Azure DevOps, partnering with Engineering, QA, Product, and vendors to triage, prioritize, and validate fixes.
  • Maintain and continuously improve QA checklists, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Help reduce defect escape rates through proactive validation and quality controls.

Data Flow Monitoring & Issue Resolution

  • Monitor content data pipelines from editorial through conversion to delivery of customer-ready content across digital and print formats.
  • Diagnose and remediate data, conversion, and integration issues across systems.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Editorial, Product, Engineering, and offshore partners to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Address customer-facing concerns by prioritizing, investigating, and resolving issues.

Tooling, Automation & Modernization

  • Identify and support opportunities for automation and AI-enabled workflow improvements.
  • Contribute to modernization and migration initiatives by evaluating impact, dependencies, and risks.
  • Support improvements to conversion frameworks, blueprints, and workflows to increase efficiency.

Documentation, Standards & Collaboration

  • Maintain documentation, standards, and governance
  • Communicate issues, risks, decisions, and impacts clearly
  • Partner with Editorial, Product, Engineering, IT, vendors, and offshore teams to resolve blockers and maintain delivery momentum

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience content operations, digital publishing, technical operations, project management or related field
  • Hands-on experience with XML, XSD, and markup troubleshooting; familiarity with XSLT/XPath.
  • Experience monitoring content data flows and resolving production issues.
  • Strong systems thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality mindset.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience in automation and AI-enabled workflows.
