Quartile is proud to be an equal opportunity employer with employees stemming from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. As a business, we value the enrichment that diversity brings to our organization and are committed to a culture that creates a sense of inclusion and belonging. We welcome new perspectives and affirm that all employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, age, familial or marital status, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, gender identity or expression, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.

OVERVIEW:

The Market Intelligence (MI) Analyst is a core contributor to Quartile's Market Intelligence function within the Center of Excellence (COE), helping turn marketplace, competitive, advertising, search, and pricing data into actionable insights for Client Success teams and their clients.

The role owns the day-to-day execution of market and competitive analyses across Amazon and other marketplaces. You will work across multiple data sources to understand market dynamics, competitive shifts, growth opportunities, and performance risks, and translate those findings into clear, client-ready recommendations.

The role combines hands-on analytical execution with judgment and capability building. Beyond delivering individual analyses, the MI Analyst helps improve how Market Intelligence operates by refining analytical frameworks, developing new approaches when existing playbooks are not sufficient, and turning successful analyses into repeatable capabilities that can scale across the organization

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing analytics, market intelligence, business intelligence, or performance analysis, ideally within eCommerce, marketplaces, retail media, or an agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising and commerce metrics, including ACoS, ROAS, CPC, CVR, sales, market share, and related performance dynamics.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and ability to connect data findings to business implications and recommendations.
  • Experience working with multiple datasets and reconciling information from different sources to answer a business question.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and experience building clear, client-ready presentations in PowerPoint or Google Slides.
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to analytical accuracy and reproducibility.
  • Ability to manage multiple analyses and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Client Success, domain experts, and other analysts.
  • Proactive and intellectually curious - comfortable questioning an initial read and proposing a different analytical approach when the existing playbook does not fully answer the question.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Hands-on experience with Amazon marketplace or advertising data.
  • Experience with market and competitive intelligence platforms such as SmartScout, Analytic Index, Similarweb, SEMrush, Stackline, or comparable tools.
  • Experience analyzing Walmart or other major eCommerce marketplaces.
  • Experience building repeatable analytical frameworks, templates, or automated workflows.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Execute client-specific analyses to identify market trends, competitive shifts, growth opportunities, and performance risks across Amazon and other marketplaces.
  • Data Preparation & Analysis: Work across multiple data sources and tools to extract, clean, organize, and connect data required to answer business questions accurately.
  • Client-Ready Insights & Recommendations: Translate complex findings into concise narratives, clear business implications, and concrete actions that Client Success teams can bring to clients. Analyses must be actionable.
  • Recurring Market Monitoring: Run recurring category, market share, sponsorship, pricing, search, and competitive tracking for priority accounts, identifying meaningful changes and flagging actionable findings.
  • Analytical Judgment & New Analysis Development: Determine the appropriate analytical approach for each question, identify what standard reads may miss, and develop new analysis types or approaches when existing frameworks are not sufficient.
  • Frameworks & Continuous Improvement: Build and maintain reusable templates, trackers, playbooks, and analytical frameworks; identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, consistency, and scalability across MI.
  • CS Partnership & Knowledge Sharing: Support Client Success teams with market and competitive intelligence questions, contribute to enablement materials and training, and participate in client conversations when analytical expertise is needed.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  • Analyses are accurate, delivered on time, and require minimal rework.
  • Outputs go beyond reporting what happened to clearly explain why it matters and what should happen next.
  • The Analyst can independently determine the right approach for increasingly complex market and competitive questions.
  • Successful analytical approaches are documented and converted into reusable frameworks, reducing manual effort and increasing consistency across the team.
  • CS teams trust MI outputs and can confidently use them in strategic client conversations.
