DUTIES:        

Transform data into information that can be utilized to make business decisions and actions. This includes acquiring data from multiple sources (SAP & Non-SAP), designing & creating reports/dashboards, fixing any reporting issues and working closely with Business Intelligence team. Work cross-functionality and cross-branded to understand evolving business needs and requirements. Represent Callaway Golf’s North American operations team to all levels of the company, including executive and international offices. Ensure one version of the truth is present for business and operational status – business flow and metrics (quality, service, cost) – and demonstrate strong understanding of the underlying business context. Design and build BI reports and dashboards using SAP Business Objects and Microsoft Power BI. Think creatively to answer the secondary information/visibility questions in advance. Create functional specs based on input from other business users. Analyze and troubleshoot data mismatches between report output and SAP. Support all phases of the project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and post-production support/maintenance. Adhere to and enforce established standards and best practices to deliver stable, reliable and highly available solutions. Decompose high level business needs into functional needs by understanding visibility challenges and determining data needs. Work closely with the management to prioritize business needs and stay up to date with the goals of the organization. Demonstrate effective and collaborative communication with internal team members. Work cross-brand and cross-functionally to identify new improvement opportunities. Communicate status of projects and initiatives to senior team members. Manage multiple projects/reporting solutions for multiple business areas. May work from home up to 2 days per week. Work from home permitted from within commuting distance of any company worksite.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Analytics, or related quantitative field plus 1 year of experience in the offered position or closely related occupation.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year of experience in business or operational data analysis involving structured datasets and stakeholder-facing reporting deliverables.
  • 1 year of experience designing and developing reporting solutions using SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence or Crystal Reports) and SQL.

Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be “quantified” by “time”. Required expertise/knowledge includes:

  • Experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures, or data extraction logic to support reporting and dashboarding.
  • Experience working with relational databases and validating data accuracy across source systems.
  • Experience validating reporting outputs against source transactional systems.
  • Experience developing operational performance metrics, KPIs, or scorecards related to quality, service, cost, or productivity.
  • Experience collecting and documenting business reporting requirements and converting them into technical specifications.
  • Experience coordinating with IT and business stakeholders to support reporting tools, data access, and distribution.
  • Experience recommending improvements to reporting workflows, data processes, or information delivery.
  • Experience delivering multiple concurrent reporting or analytics workstreams with stakeholder coordination.

OTHER: Job Site: Carlsbad, CA.  40 hours/week.  Salary range: $74,526 per year to $99,200 per year.  If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S.  EOE.
