M365 Migration Architect

Job Title: M365 Migration Architect
Duration: 12 months (possible extension/conversion) 
Work Location: Remote

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled M365 Migration Architect to assist with requirements gathering, migration design, execution, governance, and user adoption of M365 platform. Candidate will also need skills in supporting migrated users, post-migration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for M365 migrations (especially moving from one domain or tenant to another tenant).
• Design and execute migration strategies ensuring minimal business disruption, proper metadata mapping, and secure content handling.
• Utilize industry-standard tools such as Quest, Dell, or BitTitan for device migrations.
• Understand pre-migration analysis, content inventory, and assessment to identify which migration profile is to be utilized. Follow FAQ and QRG documents and instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration issues, sync errors, and permission conflicts.
• Update documentation, instructions, and post-migration support materials, as needed.
• Act as client-facing lead for all workshops, design sessions, escalations and status meetings.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with leading tenant migrations and/or client support services.
• Proven experience in executing large-scale migrations.
• Experience with identity and authentication (Azure AD), including user mapping and group synchronization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft certifications such as MS-300, MS-700, or MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator).
• Experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations, or with domain re-homing.
• Transition activities for hand-off to steady state team (could be to Kyndryl or client).
• Exposure to user adoption strategies, change management practices, and training delivery.
