Job description

Position Overview 

Our clients is seeking a motivated, sales-minded Business Manager of Sales & Marketing to join our growing team. 

This individual will work closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing on a daily basis and support other members of the company's leadership team as needed. We are looking for someone who can become a trusted, right-hand resource - helping identify and develop new sales opportunities while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. 

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is self-driven, organized, creative, comfortable with sales, and excited to grow with a startup organization. 

Sales & Commercial Responsibilities 

  • Research hospitals, health systems, EMS organizations, distributors, and other potential customers. 
  • Identify key clinical and business decision-makers within target accounts. 
  • Support prospecting and lead generation through email, LinkedIn, phone, and other channels. 
  • Help develop new sales opportunities and maintain consistent prospect follow-up. 
  • Communicate professionally with physicians, clinicians, department managers, hospital leadership, distributors, and other customers. 
  • Maintain CRM records, sales leads, opportunities, and follow-up activities. 
  • Assist with scheduling sales meetings, product presentations, and customer follow-up. 
  • Support SharpMed's independent sales representatives and distribution partners. 
  • Assist with marketing initiatives, social media, email campaigns, conferences, presentations, and sales materials. 
  • Work directly with the VP of Sales & Marketing to help execute sales and marketing priorities. 

Business Operations Responsibilities 

  • Support customer and vendor onboarding. 
  • Assist with purchase orders, order processing, fulfillment, and shipment tracking. 
  • Help coordinate inventory and manufacturing-related activities. 
  • Maintain organized company records, documents, and shared files. 
  • Support distributor and customer administrative needs. 
  • Assist with sales and operational reporting. 
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences, and other company activities. 
  • Provide general operational and project support to the leadership. 
  • Learn and progressively take ownership of the day-to-day business processes.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment. 
  • Eager to learn about medical devices, clinical selling, and hospital sales. 
  • Able to take direction, learn quickly, and eventually take ownership of projects independently. 
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with prospective customers and healthcare professionals. 
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify contacts, information, and potential business opportunities. 

Experience with the following is preferred: 

  • B2B sales, business development, or lead generation 
  • Healthcare, hospital, medical device, or other professional sales environments 
  • CRM and lead-management systems 
  • LinkedIn and social media 
  • Email marketing and prospecting 
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Canva, ChatGPT and Gemini AI 
  • Zoom and other virtual communication platforms 
  • Prior experience working with U.S.-based companies, customers, or sales teams is preferred. 

 

Healthcare or medical device experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates strong sales instincts, professionalism, initiative, and a desire to learn. 

Equipment & Technology Requirements 

  • Windows-based computer preferred. 
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection. 
  • Webcam and professional-quality headset/microphone for customer and internal video calls. 
  • Dual-monitor setup preferred for productivity. 
  • Computer capable of reliably running Microsoft 365, CRM, Canva, Zoom/Teams, web-based applications, and multiple applications simultaneously. 

Work Schedule & Remote Requirements 

  • This is a full-time, remote position. 
  • Must have a reliable home-office environment, high-speed internet, and the ability to participate in video meetings throughout the workday. 
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Arizona time (MST). 
  • Must be comfortable working U.S. business hours and collaborating with SharpMed leadership, customers, sales representatives, and business partners throughout the day. 
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

This position will work closely with the leadership and will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the company grows.
