Title:

Senior Specialist, Compensation

The Senior Specialist, Compensation supports the administration and delivery of compensation programs across the organization. This role partners with HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to provide compensation analysis, market pricing, job evaluation, and pay recommendations that support competitive and equitable pay practices. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage compensation-related activities with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

Trinzic is being established as an independent public company through the planned separation of KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business, which is expected to be completed on January 4, 2027. This role offers a rare opportunity to join the organization during a pivotal period of growth and transformation, helping build and support compensation programs and practices that will position the company for long-term success while supporting critical government and commercial missions around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support broad-based compensation programs, including base pay, incentive plans, salary structures, job architecture, and annual compensation processes.  
  • Conduct market pricing and compensation analyses to support hiring, promotions, transfers, and other compensation decisions.
  • Evaluate positions and assist with job leveling and salary range recommendations.
  • Support annual compensation planning processes, including merit increases and incentive programs.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR colleagues to provide guidance on pay recommendations and offer development.
  • Analyze compensation data and prepare reports, presentations, and insights for HR and business leaders.
  • Maintain compensation structures, guidelines, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in pay equity reviews and other compensation-related analyses.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Support compensation-related audits, due diligence activities, regulatory reporting, and documentation requirements.
  • Research market trends, emerging compensation practices, and regulatory developments to support informed decision-making.
  • Support compensation projects, process improvements, and special initiatives as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of compensation experience, including market pricing, job evaluation, and salary administration.
  • Experience supporting broad-based compensation programs within a complex organization.
  • Experience using compensation surveys and market data to support pay decisions.

Professional Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing methodologies, and salary administration practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate compensation data effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder partnership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification.
  • Experience supporting compensation programs within a public company environment.
  • Exposure to global compensation practices.
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS platforms.
  • Experience supporting organizations through periods of growth, transformation, or organizational change.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
