Job description

R1 is the leading provider of technology-driven solutions that transform the patient experience and financial performance of hospitals, health systems, and physician groups. We combine deep healthcare expertise, a global workforce, and advanced capabilities across analytics, AI, intelligent automation, and workflow orchestration to help healthcare organizations improve performance at scale.

As an Implementation Consultant I, you will support the deployment and implementation of the Entri Product Suite, working with clients and internal hospital operations, application, and infrastructure teams to design, build, test, and launch patient and user experience solutions. This entry-level role within Configuration and Deployment initially supports a limited product scope, with the opportunity and expectation to learn and progress quickly.

You will help move projects from planning through go-live by gathering client data and requirements, supporting application database builds, coordinating testing and readiness activities, developing educational materials, and keeping stakeholders informed and accountable. This is a strong opportunity for someone who is organized, proactive, client-focused, eager to learn, and comfortable solving workflow and implementation challenges in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and internal hospital operations, application, and infrastructure teams to support the design, build, and implementation of Entri patient and user experience solutions.

• Support on-time, accurate delivery of application database builds and communicate progress, risks, and support needs across the deployment team.

• Consult with clients and project partners to define and obtain the data needed to configure applications based on contract scope, client needs, project timelines, and budget.

• Analyze data and operational workflows to identify standard best practices, improve efficiency, and solve implementation challenges creatively.

• Coordinate with clients, Operations, Training, IT, Product, Integration, Support, and other project partners to meet implementation milestones and prepare for go-live.

• Develop and deliver clear training, objectives, expectations, and educational materials for end users and project stakeholders.

• Lead or support database validation, functional testing, and integrated testing to confirm readiness for successful go-lives.

• Identify project obstacles, engage the appropriate subject matter experts, and escalate or resolve issues that could affect solution delivery.

• Provide clear project updates and escalations to stakeholders at multiple levels and help maintain accountability throughout implementation.

• Propose opportunities to improve, enhance, or expand product and process initiatives.

• Build knowledge of healthcare operations and patient access workflows while progressing through product training, mock implementation work, shadowing, and supported client projects.

• Travel to client sites based on project needs, with the ability to travel up to 50%.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.

• 1-3 years of related experience in healthcare, technology, implementation, deployment, project coordination, configuration, client service, or a related field.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

• Highly organized, with strong interpersonal skills and clear, concise oral and written communication.

• Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, office staff, peers, and other stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to collect information, establish facts, draw conclusions, and correct errors.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, work effectively under pressure, and adjust to rapidly changing customer needs.

• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently without close supervision while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.

• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and understand the importance of protecting patient data, including HIPAA requirements.

• Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English and prepare professional business correspondence.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% based on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare experience, particularly in patient access, registration, scheduling, hospital operations, or related workflows.

• Experience supporting software implementation, product deployment, application configuration, database build, or project management activities.

• Experience with healthcare platforms or electronic medical record systems such as Epic or Cerner.

• Experience with Schedule Maximizer, Order Facilitator, Consumer Self Scheduling, Looker Reporting, or related Entri tools.

• Comfort working directly with clients, facilitating meetings, delivering demonstrations or training, and navigating challenging stakeholder interactions.

• Ability to learn new products and processes quickly, ask thoughtful clarifying questions, apply constructive feedback, and remain effective through a steep learning curve.

• Collaborative, energetic approach with a focus on team success, continuous learning, and professional growth.
