Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and manage inbound and outbound shipments, coordinate with freight carriers, and ensure consistent achievement of on-time delivery metrics. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our supply chain operations while ensuring compliance with company standards and external regulations.


Key Responsibilities


Inbound & Outbound Logistics

  • Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, distribution centers, and customers to confirm shipping schedules and resolve issues.
  • Manage and track shipment documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork.

Carrier Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for freight carriers, brokers, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Evaluate carrier performance and negotiate rates and service levels to optimize cost and delivery times.
  • Resolve freight-related issues including delays, damages, and claims.

On-Time Delivery Performance

  • Monitor and analyze delivery metrics to ensure on-time performance targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Implement corrective actions and process improvements to address root causes of late deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting tools to provide insights into shipping and delivery performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with warehouse, procurement, customer service, and production teams to align logistics plans with business needs.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to all transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain proper records of shipments, carrier invoices, and freight audits.
Requirements


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong understanding of freight and carrier operations (LTL, FTL, international, etc.).
  • Proven track record in achieving or improving on-time delivery performance.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in logistics software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Peered Skills

  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and Incoterms.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in logistics KPI reporting and analysis.
