Job description

AI Video Creator (Synthesia)

We are seeking an experienced AI Video Creator / Video Editor with strong Synthesia expertise to help refine, enhance, and produce engaging educational video content. The client is an innovative hybrid education platform transforming professional development and specialized learning for a global audience. By blending cutting-edge AI technology with real-world expertise, they deliver high-impact courses, interactive training programs, and dynamic digital learning experiences.

This role focuses on taking existing scripts and video material and transforming them into polished, highly engaging training videos. The ideal candidate combines strong technical video-editing skills with sharp creative judgment—knowing how to improve pacing, structure, visual interest, and viewer engagement.

Full-time: 40 hours per week
Remote: Fully remote, CDT working hours (client based in TX, USA)
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor
Monthly Rate: $1300-1500 (based on a 40-hour workweek; flexible depending on experience)

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Create, edit, and refine educational and training videos using Synthesia. Build scenes, adjust avatars, design layouts, and maintain visual consistency across a growing course library.
  • Improve pacing, scene transitions, and overall video structure. Introduce on-screen text, bullet points, callouts, and visual emphasis to break complex ideas into clear, digestible lessons.
  • Edit raw footage and AI-generated video to professional standards. Incorporate supporting B-roll, captions, graphic overlays, and clean audio transitions to ensure a seamless viewer experience.
  • Review existing course material critically, identify static or repetitive sections, and proactively suggest creative ways to present content more dynamically.
  • Help establish reusable scene templates, asset libraries, and scalable workflows as the platform’s educational content library grows.

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years of experience in video production.
  • Proven experience creating, structuring, and optimizing AI video content within Synthesia or comparable AI avatar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut).
  • A sharp eye for educational video flow—knowing how to structure visual information to maximize viewer retention and comprehension.
  • Strong ability to incorporate clean typography, on-screen callouts, B-roll, and visual assets without cluttering the screen.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of projects, working from scripts, and making independent creative recommendations.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience working within edtech, online learning platforms, or corporate training environments.
  • Basic motion graphics or animation capabilities.
