NexGen is looking for a Project Cost Controls Specialist to join their team! This is a project-based travel position!

Position Overview:
NexGen Contracting is seeking a dedicated and analytical Project Cost Controls Specialist to join our Concrete Division. This role is pivotal in providing detailed cost analysis, budgeting, and financial forecasting for concrete construction projects. The Cost Controls Specialist will be responsible for implementing corporate cost control measures, tracking project expenses, providing cost reports, and assisting project teams in managing project budgets. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to take on challenges, and is committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and
e-mail applications. Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite and Primavera Scheduling Software.

  •  Develop, implement, and maintain cost controls on a project.
  • Monitor, evaluate and update project cost data on budgeted amounts.
  • Generate project progress charts and cost reports.
  • Support forecast of time and cost problems by offering trending information.
  • Develop and execute measurement systems to process, analyze and identify improvements.
  • Develop and update resource loaded construction schedules.
  • Verify scope changes and estimate costs by using contract terms
