Job Description

LACONICS is looking for a Middle/Senior Back-End Developer to join our  team.

The role involves the development and implementation of proprietary (in-house) web-based job management system. This product help people find, understand and apply for jobs in Canada. We're using .NET Core in developing this product and are always keen to evaluate new features to see if we can take advantage of them.

The successful candidate will be hands-on in all phases of and after the product development life cycle. You should be the Senior you needed as a Junior, for our interns.

You will collaborate with cross-functional, remote and international teams to define, maintain APIs, test and deliver complex solutions

Some of the responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Perform peer reviews with fellow team members.
• Process design and implementation, analysis of requirements and production of specifications and reports.
• Documentation of solution (e.g. design, architecture, configurations, and set up, etc.)
• Designing and implementing Microsoft technical solutions (E.g. :  .NET, C#, Angular, Azure SAAS/PAAS, O365, SharePoint, Oracle)
  .NET applications development, test, and deployment - Adherence to the highest level of quality is a strict requirement (unit test, automated test desirable).
• Working to plans / deadlines provided, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Assesses the health and performance of software applications and databases.
• Identifies application, database software, and programming problems.
• Experience in working within a project management/agile delivery methodology.

Qualifications

• 2+ years software engineering experience and excellent knowledge of relational databases.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft stack such as MS SQL Server, .NET, ASP.NET, MVC
• Good working knowledge of front end development, Angular, jQuery and JavaScript.
• Design patterns
• Proven record of delivering applications from technical designs or specifications
• Experience with development frameworks (SCRUM/Agile)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Outstanding skills at interacting with people, both within the organization (from developers to senior management) and with customers/partners.
• Responsible, organized, and hardworking with excellent communication skills.
• English is a requirement, as you will be working in international team.
