Omnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities nationwide, supporting skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. Position Summary

The Lead Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the CIC (Clinical Intervention Center) team by completing projects, providing workflow guidance, technician training, and operational support. This role serves as a resource for technicians, assists leadership with workload coordination, and helps ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with established policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role is heavily focused on Facility Formulary Therapeutic Interchange (FFTI) and Third-Party Therapeutic Interchange (TPTI) responsibilities, including reporting, audit support, quality assurance checks, and ongoing monitoring of related processes.
  • Support the OmniDX to OASIS FFTI and TPTI conversion efforts, which are expected to be a significant project focus over the next one to two years, including pulling forms from Omniview, FFTI and TPTI activation, and tracking related conversion activities.
  • Regularly review pharmacy stock to help ensure appropriate interchange products are available and coordinate with pharmacy purchasing to address stocking needs or gaps.
  • Partner with IT teams to support reporting needs, troubleshoot system or reporting issues, and assist with resolution follow-up as needed.
  • Work within OASIS, OmniDX, MicroStrategy, Salesforce, Omniview, and other Omnicare systems to complete reporting, research, workflow support, and operational follow-up activities.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to technicians to support accuracy, productivity, and professional development.
  • Train and support technicians by reinforcing standard operating procedures, best practices, and process expectations.
  • Contribute to team meetings, process improvement initiatives, and special projects as assigned.
  • Support other areas of the CIC based on business needs, which may include customer service activities (phone calls and emails), faxing, order processing, prior authorizations, and medication therapy management (MTM) support.
  • Other CIC projects and duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of relevant pharmacy technician experience.
  • Active pharmacy technician license or registration in good standing in the state where the candidate resides.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable workflows, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to mentor, train, and support team members while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and standard office applications.
  • Microsoft Excel experience, including the ability to organize, review, and analyze data to support reporting and tracking.
  • Ability to identify issues, research information, and recommend practical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of relevant pharmacy technician experience. 
  • Experience with OASIS, OmniDX, MicroStrategy, and other role-specific Omnicare systems.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with peers, leadership, and customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while meeting production expectations.

Education

High school diploma or GED required.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote position. The selected candidate must be able to work the assigned schedule, remain available to support team needs during standard operating hours, and maintain a suitable remote work environment that supports confidentiality, productivity, and business requirements.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $31.72

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
