Medical Wizard Business Services (MWBS), part of the Medical Wizard group, provides specialised healthcare business services to Australian medical practices, specialists, hospitals, and day surgeries.

With over 30 years of industry experience, we support healthcare providers across Australia with medical billing, reporting, administration, and operational services.

As we continue growing our MWBS division, we are looking for intelligent, detail-oriented, and motivated Medical Billing Associate Interns to join our team and build long-term careers within the Australian healthcare industry.

About the Internship  

This is a paid internship designed for individuals with strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and confidence working with numbers and financial data.

You will receive structured training and hands-on exposure to Australian healthcare billing workflows, medical billing systems, reconciliations, and operational processes.

This internship provides an excellent pathway into a long-term career in healthcare operations and medical billing.

Key Responsibilities  

• Assist with Australian medical billing workflows and processes
  

• Support billing data entry, reconciliation, and validation activities
  

• Review billing information for accuracy and completeness
  

• Assist with identifying discrepancies and resolving billing-related issues
  

• Work with internal teams to support operational and billing tasks
  

• Maintain accurate documentation and records
  

• Communicate professionally with team members and stakeholders
  

• Learn and follow Australian healthcare billing procedures and compliance standards
  

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Currently following or recently completed a degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  

• Strong numerical and analytical thinking ability
  

• High attention to detail and accuracy
  

• Good logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  

• Fluent English communication skills, spoken and written
  

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  

• Strong work ethic, accountability, and reliability
  

• Basic computer literacy and confidence using systems and spreadsheets
  

Preferred (Not Mandatory)  

• Exposure to finance, accounting, or operational environments
  

• Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
  

• Interest in healthcare operations or business services
  

• Previous internship or part-time work experience
