Job description

This is a remote position.

This is a remote contract role for a Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for our parent company in Australia. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, preparation of BAS and maintaining financial statements.

Requirements

  • Bookkeeping and Accounting skills
  • Experience with Accounting Software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
  • Journal Entries (Accounting) skills
  • Knowledge of Financial Statements
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial record keeping
  • Strong ethics regarding data privacy of sensitive data
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CA is a plus
  • Industry experience or strong knowledge of Australian tax rules and regulations would be highly advantageous
