Established over twenty years ago, we are a growing Melbourne-based Software Consultancy with a core focus on delivering business-critical digital products to our clients. Our teams collaborate with customers to dissect complex problems and transform them into value-driven solutions, combining innovative principles in analysis, design, development, and quality assurance. Leveraging Design Thinking and Agile practices, we rapidly create business-first solutions, continuously testing and embracing new methodologies and trends.

Our Delivery Leads/Business Analysts Leads are trusted advisors to our clients, partnering with stakeholders to ensure exceptional delivery outcomes. As a Lead Consultant at Fabric, you will guide project teams to success through strategic planning, clear communication, and collaborative problem-solving. By fostering alignment between business objectives and delivery goals, you will empower teams to deliver high-quality solutions while driving customer and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery and Oversight

  • Lead and drive the overall delivery of projects, consistently delivering value to clients.

  • Develop and oversee delivery plans, including scope, estimates, releases, and statements of work for engagements.

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their strategy, product vision, and success criteria, translating these into actionable roadmaps.

  • Provide hands-on leadership to delivery teams, ensuring successful outcomes through facilitation and expert guidance.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients in product ownership and agile delivery management, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

  • Support the delivery planning phases of discovery workshops, contributing actionable insights and technical feasibility assessments.

Strategic Contribution

  • Lead and facilitate discovery workshops to align client stakeholders and delivery teams, defining the product delivery roadmap.

  • Contribute to the development and evolution of delivery frameworks and practices, enhancing Fabric's project execution methodologies.

  • Use discovery frameworks such as Design Thinking, Opportunity Solution Trees, Lean Startup, and Dual-Track Agile to drive structure and rigour.

  • Contribute to the development and evolution of Delivery and Discovery frameworks and practices, enhancing Fabric's project execution methodologies.

Client Engagement and Growth

  • Provide deep expertise and trusted advice to clients in product ownership and agile delivery management.

  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, bridging technical and business domains.

  • Support the identification of new opportunities within existing client accounts, contributing to their long-term success

Team Leadership and Mentoring

  • Mentor and coach colleagues, focusing on Agile delivery practices and career development.

  • Play an active role in recruitment and interviews to identify and onboard top talent.

  • Ensure the alignment and performance of delivery teams, escalating account-level challenges to Principals as needed.

  • Be an ambassador for Fabric, promoting our values and the practices we use to make sure we build the software right

  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and help teams work effectively in dual-track agile environments.

Thought Leadership

  • Generate thought leadership content to support marketing initiatives, such as social media activities, meetups, and conferences.

  • Actively participate in knowledge-sharing forums within the company to inspire innovation and improve practices.

About You

  • Have successfully delivered projects in the past, ideally within an IT consultancy environment

  • Started your career as a BA, Developer, or similar hands-on role before moving into delivery

  • Have flexibility and adaptability - the Lead Consultant role is usually DL-focused, but from time to time, jumping in to cover gaps such as BA/PO will be required to support project needs

  • Have a good understanding of agile software development practices and delivery frameworks

  • Have experience in running discovery workshops with multidisciplinary stakeholders

  • Have analytical skills to understand the problem based on data insights and research

  • Enjoy collaborating and encouraging the delivery team to deliver success for the client
